Crysis 2 does NOT have a very complex engine and Crysis 2 can be run on fairly outdated pc's.

Actually the graphics are so outdated its not even worth DX11, besides for some tesselation here and there.

It really does not look good for a PC game, it just doesn't. Console gamers have VERY very very low expectations of games, so perhaps thats the thing.

By the way, the graphics in Crysis 2 are so poor, that you have to download an Advanced Graphics patch (not from Crytec) to unleash all settings on extreme/ultra.

Really weird because the game looks really mediocre, it even runs on my old pc which is only dual core (lmao dual core in 2011). The engine is versatile and can be used on all platforms (consoles to) and therefore its not really that great when it comes to graphics.

To bad, I was expecting so much more.

Also the level of detail like ground textures and stuff. i dont know but its not sharp enough nor crisp enough and not detailled enough. distant objects are blurred out too. I've played a lot of games and the level of detail is dissapointing in this one.
