I find nothing intelligent about Guru or his lyrics, just shallow fragments of religious values mixed with a homosexual(yeah, he was) actors take on the streets. A somewhat dope voice and flow makes him mediocre if I'm generous, and that mixed with arguably the best beatmaker ever explains all of the classics. Just use this track as an example, Foxxx killed it, even that hobby-rapper Shug more than hold his own against Guru. I would put Guru in the top 100.

But as I discovered, in my opinion, better MC's, Guru/Wu/Cypress wasnt all that anymore - and I understood that Premiers beats made the Gangstarr joints classics. If I make a top20 list of Premier productions, Guru wont be in any of them.
