No what happened was this…the handler wasn't capable of handling the dog..hopefully you didn't ruin the dog with the badguy/decoy actually handling the dog and keeping him from biting.  If the dog is not strong it could ruin him. I'm sure the dog is strong enough civil that the decoy didn't ruin the dog. Handler..learn how to post up, don't move when doing civil agitation.

And the recall commands? doesn't seem like handler was in control of situation. Even on short distance deploys if practiced a recall works with a strong handler command. Decoy was more in control after handler was on her ass.

How immature that this has become a Male V Female debate when its clear that ANY person Male or Female who is teamed with a dog that is too big or strong for them to handle is not going to be able to perform to operational requirements. This particular handler appears to have a slow reaction and poor technique, I agree it looks very unprofessional. So lets judge the skill not the sex.

I like how the dog attacks & the guy gets control of the situation and the dog hops back like "Sorry Boss" "Can we go again huh huh huh can we go!??!?!?" Dogs are so loyal and love their job ^^....but the only downside is that dogs are loyal =[ and commit to everything they do. So they don't know when they've done something wrong she should have rectified that situation much quicker!

if she is strong enough and isn't scared as this handler is... I trained IED and security dogs in the Marine Corps, if you can't make the cut (male or female) you are out of luck, you won't be a handler.

This dog is dangerous in the control of the wrong person. It is a finely tuned weapon with someone qualified.

You sir are badass, you handled that impeccably. Handled the dog, rewarded him for just doing what he was trained, and I am impressed. However, the fact is the handler had the dog by the wrong method during agitation. The leash is not a good hold. I found this out myself, however my dog is a bit older and obeys pretty good even in full attack mode, his recall is impeccable, otherwise, my decoy may have had an issue too and I am not sure he'd handle it as well!

u dnt have to be physically strong to control a dog you have to work with the dog and train it to obey you my rottie does whatever my mum tells it to and shes a 9 stone 60yr old its all in the training and time spent with the dog my guess is this isnt her normal dog if it is fire her before she kills someone

As the individual on the receiving end of this. I would like to clarify. I dropped the wrap (sleeve) to conduct "Civil" aggression which ensures the dog focuses on the decoy and not the equipment. For those that think it's the handler or decoy's fault might want to look at the bigger picture.

@lcht2 Offcourse handlers fault. But this guy (decoy) is so lucky that in fact this is a showline German shepherddog: you can see in fact how weak these dogs are. He can easy fight off this 'military working dog'.

If it would be a real workingline GSD or a KNPV malinois he would have a BIG problem. Look at 'phv haps' and you'll see why...
