I noticed that Rei looks slightly different in this version. Rather than having white hair like from the original anime, his hair is black. Well no, there's nothing wrong with it, but I'm used to seeing him with white hair. I guess the animators must have thought that if he were to retain his white hair, he'd look too close to Seiji from "Shin Hokuto no Ken" even though it was Seiji who'se looks were taken from Rei.

His hair turned white after he was injured by Raoh in the Series. He was to die in 3 days, but Toki used a Hokuto technique to extend his life in order to get revenge for Mamiya. This is form the manga and Tv series, not the anime movie.
