I have a Rubik's brand 4x4x4. It turns really smoothly but locks up when ever I try to go fast! But the corner pieces never flew out. It was usually the edge pieces that popped.

Here, I'll give you the website. In it, you click on sudoku cube 2, and copy EVERY number on a cube of paper. (Make sure the direction of the numbers is correct too!) This will give you the solved state. You can solve the cube from there.
