  • interesting. I went to PI aug 31 1966 plt1051. Looks about right minus the beatings back in the squad bay. Rough!l

  • You be surprised on how many of these guys didn't even finish High School back then. A High School diploma was not a requirement in the 60's. The High School diploma did not become mandatory until about 2000's.

  • How can you afford a Corvette on a privates pay in 1966? If I'm correct the average pay of a private back then was $45 dollars a month.

  • lol this is awesome.. i do not even know how i ended up here

  • I wonder when they made this video if they would have imagined that FAGGOTS would be sleeping with eachother in the bunks...Good job OBAMA and the left wing Generals

  • @socalpimp1974 Dude faggots have been in the US military since 1775. They were just quiet about it. Only difference now is that people can admit to being a fag and not get kicked out. I'm sure you worked w/ faggots in the military and didn't even know it. I bet there were fags in this vid

  • Whites only!!!

  • How many of these brave young souls made it to 1973? Bitter sweet to watch.

  • I love that "The All American Soldier" is the tune playing during the graduation. Airborne!

  • The "Gulf Of Tonkin" NEVER HAPPENED..9/11 many questions REMAIN..that shithole Afghanistan..80% of the Heroin comes out of there makes you wonder..what is really going on..our brave troops..belong on our border protecting US..from the invading hordes not over in that giant cat litter box the middle east..hell, America is NOT mentioned in the Bible..Armegeddon WILL occur..I repeat..AMERICA is NOT MENTIONED IN THE BIBLE..think about it and stop thinking about the SLUTS Kardashian, Snooky ETC

  • I think Stanley Kubrick might have used a lot of Full Metal Jacket's ideas from this video alone haha.

  • wasnt there the Draft in 1966? Also, many of the veterans of the vietnam war are cast aside forgotten and ignored. Some of these veterans are homeless today. The first thing that going to be cut in times of financial trouble is money for the VA... Is it not

America's duty to protect those who once risked their life for it? Will the veterans of todays war be forgotten and homeless 20 years from now? What about the PTSDs, and the very high suicide rate among todays veterans?

  • @BluNexus5770 Unfortuantely most Americans arent concerned about what happens to our countries military after they become veterans.

  • Kubrick probably watch this at 6:46

  • Damn, makes me sweat just watching them on the grinder. I wouldn't want to do it again, but would love to be back in that kind of shape.

  • Home of the brave, and home of the tough, Semper Fi "Always faithful" and that's no bluff! They're mighty and true, they protect our freedom for me and you. Honor Courage and commitment is what they're taught to do. It's all about protecting the red, white and the blue! Marines will never retreat, break or bend, they're ready to fight, attack and defend. I respect our military, and proud to say,God Bless this country, STARS AND BARS ALL DAY. PROUD TO BE AMERICAN, I LOVE THE USA ! OooooH RaaaH!

  • hey.. these sergeants are pretty nice.look at a real video and you'l see the the way the real drill sergeants blow out your fricken eardrums with all the yelling.its like they WANNA make you cry.

  • @smartacious They break you down so they can rebuild you.

  • @dirtydeedz161 i know im just sayin.i actually wanna join

  • @dirtydeedz161 IDK, based on my correspondence with a recruit, he's still a douchebag.

  • I would kill for that vette!

  • Good luck to you! My son leaves TOMORROW!!!

  • I wish DIs were still allowed to hit and abuse us.

  • @LastXdeth Me too. I want the full experience. None of this new bullshit.

I leave for boot in a month. Can't wait.

  • @LastXdeth code blue

  • The m-14 was 7,62, The m-16 was 5,56. I had the m-14 when I first went to Nam, 5 months later I was issused the m-16. That was 1966-67.

  • Man, I didn't see any DI chew out a single guy. When I went in 2005, it was like structured chaos. The DIs know what is going on, but your ass doesn't.

  • @XxMadeInHell666xX Dude are freaking serious? 1. They used to beat the shit out of recruits then as punishment. 2. This is a recruiting video do you honestly think the DI are going 100% or think they would they show everything 3. This is fucking 1966, everyone of these guys went to combat zone VIETNAM....Think a little bit....

  • @XxMadeInHell666xX 2005? Parris Island? Was there lots of abusive language, harsh treatment and the occasional 'recruit abuse' case?

  • good bye my sweetheart hello vietnam

  • Was that Private Pyle at 11:08?

  • boner at 6:43

  • 7.62 Millimeter, FULL METAL JACKET

  • @8Grams0fat 7.62? what are you a commie? 5.56 baby!

  • @SGCBallistic its a famous quote from the movie Full Metal Jacket, awsome movie btw

  • @SGCBallistic and the M14s are 7.62x51. No commies!

  • Was that Ron Howard driving the tank?

  • chesty for president!

  • The U.S. marines are tough! They can bravely defeat any child. A pregnant woman is no match for a squadron of brave marines either! And the elderly? They'd better say their prayers when the US marines come to town!

  • @CelestialEmbodiment

    What's brown and gurgles?

    A baby in a casserole.

  • [Slaughtering citizens in their beds is what U.S. marines specialize in.]

  • It's a shame that the murderess Aileen Wuornos was executed when she could have been of great help to the legions of brave U.S. marines who torture, irradiate, mutilate & murder elderly men, young mothers & children of Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan & Libya.

  • @CelestialEmbodiment So, what happens in those SHITHOLE countries EVERY day, centuries before America was even born?? Murders, rapes torture!!! What did the Khmer Rouge DO? What did Pol Pot do? What did the MOST PROLIFIC MASS MURDERER IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND DO, MR. Chairman MAO, in China..a COMMUNIST..murdered over 200 million people, but STILL WORSHIPPED at the OLYMPICS, in guess where COMMIE CHINA, his pic on the WALL! Stalin, etc, etc you HIPPOCRATE, do u know history..you DOPE!!

  • @apocyldoomer : Why are murder-rates in foreign nations of concern to you? Stop worshiping Hitler and enroll in a literacy course.

  • @CelestialEmbodiment Oh what the Hell are you talking about you filthy sluts, go stick a black double headed dildo up your stinking twats you skank, who in Hell asked you anyway. Did you even understand what I was talking about you retard. LEARN HISTORY you dumbass..

  • @latinoman100 ok listen up you little wantabe pissant.. i spent 22yrs 8mo and 9 days active marine.. i have never really gotten out you little turd.. and we always and i mean always called each other jughead and did so in a royal manner and only to each other not allowing any non marine to do so.. and you little puke it was 18 weeks when i went in in 1981 and 18 weeks when i went back as a drill instructor at mcrdpisc.. so before you run off you turd eatin suck you better do a bit of reseach

  • @kingslegion1 1977-1981

  • anybody else see that black dude fuck up at 5:17 lol

  • happy to see we still have the tradition from back then, to now. Marines hold tradition so important it's shocking haha. cant wait to be a marine my self.

  • smooth like silk, fucked YOUR bitch in the ass & the pussy squirted milk,

  • i feel like im acttually in the 60's weve got those that are fucking hippies and those that want to kill some slanty eyed gook fucks

  • The real heroes of Vietnam were the draft evaders.

  • The military has evolved to serve the threat. Many changes have implemented tactics to combat the enemy. The issue is, if approaches worked then, why change?

  • 11 weeks?? that is a crime.. no way.. 18 weeks minumum to make a jughead.. i am sorry they sent these boys to vietnam with only 11 weeks

  • At 7:12. "I don't know sir." I thought he was about to be chewed up. Lol.

  • At 7:12, "I don't know sir." I didn't know they could say that. Lol

  • hope he is on there it sucks misery

  • Private Evans is such a pogue. That's the "Private Pile" of that platoon. lol

  • Looks like Stanley Kubrick saw this film, too.

  • i wish i was born back then and served

  • My father entered the Marine Corp and had boot camp on Parris Island in 1966. He volunteered to go to Vietnam and I wonder if he's on this video.

  • i bet vietnam dont wanna fuck with us now! one nuke will take they comminust azz out!

  • @bubbakushbmg we've had nukes long before vietnam dumbass

  • @RES1ST0R dont call me a dumbass you dumbass!! you think we could beat vietnam now? or no

  • @bubbakushbmg We can beat anyone we CHOOSE to beat. Trouble is that we just MAINTAIN.

  • 4:31 ......'MY"??? It's "THIS RECRUIT'S!!" :)

  • this makes me want to join the marines after my enlistment is up!!!

  • orange PT shorts? wtf?

  • This was back before Parris Island became Pansy Island. I wish the Corps could go back to those days.

  • @vikingbloodUS They don't hit you anymore. Most of the time, but to make up for this, they've made up for it in mental destruction

  • It's shocking how slow paced everything was just 40 years ago.

  • "underdeveloped", lol

  • Army is for fags who like easy shit USMC is for men but...... TEAM AMERICA FUCK YEAH!

  • Back in 1966 Marine Recruits were getting the shit kicked out of them in boot camp. The way it still should be.

  • @andysepul1 Oh!LOL! Make NO MISTAKE! On the low, they do,but,IT(incentive training) has taken it place,to some degree. They got this grievance thing, heard of it,but, never had the pleasure.MCRD is tough, hard, but, that's why many joined,so aint no need whining now

  • @specops24th nobody has any idea what the hell you are saying. I am not an internet english teacher, but you are just impossible to understand.

  • great vid

  • Marines, home of the brave, and the tough, Semper Fi "Always faithful" is taught, and thats not a bluff!!. Marines are mighty so true. Honor, Courage and commitment is so true, it's all about protecting the red,the white, and the blue!!!. Marines will never break or bend, they're ready to fight destroy and defend. We are proud of our military everyday, Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines, let freedom ring, everyday I say, band of brothesr, OOOOH RAH!!!, and God Bless the USA!

  • I am recruit Evans :)

  • Anyone else feeling motivated to join? I would if i wasnt too old, unfit, lazy, and not american.

  • "Why can't the Army be like the Marines?"

General John J. Pershing United States Army

  • @specops24th Because the Army has been around longer, fought in more wars, killed more of the enemy, and covered more ground than the marines.

  • @motrinmedic The Army is an Occupational Force,Marines aren't,and each branch has had it share of being bloodied

  • @specops24th occupational force? you have no idea what your talking about. The marines have taken a couple of islands in the south pacific... The army took a continent. Your absolutely right, both branches have been bloodied, but you post a dumbass quote like that, and you should expect a snide comment to come your way, or... is this your first day on the internet? i got respect for the marines, but they talk more shit than they can back up, and need to be reminded every so often.

  • @motrinmedic What the HELL are you talking about Medic? Those Islands was much contested land! And the Marine Corps job, surely isn't what the Army does,EXACTLY! Each command understands that commitment, why cant YOU!

  • @specops24th What am I talking about? perhaps you forgot your last comment, and didn't read all of mine. Or perhaps you are drinking heavily? Read it again.

  • @motrinmedic I dont drink, nor do I smoke...And YOU not an English teacher! What that got to do with understanding my comment?

  • @specops24th What does being or not being an english teacher have to do with anything I said?

  • 1:06 "it isn't that tough to be a marine" BULLSHIT

  • They don't appear to have published any films telling the boys about what would happen in the next 80 days afterwords...

  • Comment removed

  • 8:00, guy in the glasses reminds me of private cowboy

  • golly jeepers

  • Just don't go in open contract like I did!! Get a technical MOS Trust me on this.

  • @Ronbo710 whats the difference from open contract and technical mos?

  • @thegame245 do u like not knowing what your doing do u like cleaning floors and kitchen patrol well then open contracts for you if you like knowing were your headed if u like direction and have a specific job in mind i advise signing for a technical mos

  • @Forbidenangel0 oh alright i feel you... would they try to trick me into signing an open contract at meps?

  • @thegame245 talk to your recriuter the trick is go open contract so they get u though the process faster but once ur in the delayed entry program DEP and ur a pully u can change that any time u want so say u go to meps pass then talk to ur recriuter about an MOS

  • @Forbidenangel0 screw that i wouldnt want to take the chance i need everything guaranteed at meps... im trying to be a marine mp what mos does that fall under?

  • @thegame245 also i sugest looking for a new MOS MP is a hard one to get cause everyone wants it

  • @Forbidenangel0 for me its either mp or nothing at all

  • @thegame245 then look into army to be honest A) the marine core isnt about your job its about pride in being a marine if they didnt have your job then select the next best thing and do schooling on the side till that job becomes available...B) the army never really turns anyone away C) with that mind set i dont think the core is for you

  • @Forbidenangel0 no bro trust me i would take great pride in serving my country via the marine corp.. but i want to be in a field where it is going to be useful for me once i hit the civilian world again. That being said i feel being a marine mp would suit me best because i want to be a police officer 1 day..

  • @Forbidenangel0 the job number is a 5811 and nothings garanteed look im telling you go to your closest station they can answer these way better than i can hell u may not even be qualified for the core period shit happens in life kid dont get your hopes up till u know u can

  • @Evans.lol

  • but this vid makes that shit look like a joke aahahahaha

  • back when boot camp was fucking suicide

  • great video

  • at 1:40 the guy on the platform started peeing on everyone

  • Fespar, your right. This is rather sugar-coated.

  • I'm the future Marine of 2014 Ooo Rah see you on the Battlefield

  • I just want to kill some gook bastards

  • @intratown HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

  • What's the point, the media never show anything about the military

no matter how great you are, that douchebag Lil Wayne is still much more famous than all military people put together.

  • @SpicyHam Lil Wayne? Now there a cunt compared to a Marine.

  • @SpicyHam Not exactly.

  • I can't wait to go to Vietnam!

  • @gopconservative78 lmao. you clever bastard :P

  • OO RAH FUCKING OO RAHH

  • Parris island! :) i went there for drill camp in rotc, i cant wait to go back

  • Im not a marine but a perosn who has tremendous respect for these guys, and I'm telling you now during these times in the vid you CANNOT FUCK AROUND unless you wanted to get BEAT...LITERALLY. SHIT WAS NO FUCKING JOKE BACK THEN

  • HOLY CRAP at 10:38!

  • @metallica76311 its like there training people to be SPIDER MAN!

  • I know someone who joined the Marines about 2 years after this. I wish I could ask him if this is what attracted him.

  • @jwsf941 My dad joined in 1964, and he enlisted because of the movie "The DI" with Jack Webb.

  • this makes me want to watch full metal jacket!

  • only 80 days to graduate? is it still that short?

  • @0100110101001011 think about how long 80 days is, but no its longer now, 80 days is 11 weeks and 3 days, now with the crucible added, it bumps it up to 12 weeks, plus the aditional week including family day and graduation etc.

  • @0100110101001011 hell no... u in for 3months now

  • its funny my uncle was in marine bootcamp in 1968 and he said the d.i's would smack him in the head everytime he came up from a push up lol he was a cannoneer? i think

  • 6:37 lmao i know that will be me one day

  • that guy walked infront of ppl 8:48 at aiming down their sight. damn he could have gotten shot

  • @ty99999returns Actually, this is only the "snapping in" phase. The remainder is when they started qualifying using life rounds (from what i remembered).

  • @ty99999returns they are not actually firing, this is merely the phase where they learn the fundementals of shooting

  • Went through Parris Island in October 1981 myself...Semper Fi

  • @SuperLiftRick orrah!

  • Remember this is a commercial, aim at "selling the Marine Corps".Should they show what it's really like it would be a very small Marine Corps.I went thru at MCRD,San Diego in 1981.Some things never change. Thanks for posting!

  • OMG this is lame!

  • Not to me, but then I graduated from boot camp in 1975 only 9 years after this was made. Kinda reminded me of my time there.
