@trpl0014 Hey, calm down. Mother is an NES game which is part of a series of three. 'Earthbound' is Mother 2, and obviously Mother 3 is the third in the series. As for the stories, Earthbound and Mother 3 and definitely connected (Pokey/Porky, multiple mentions of Ness, countless other references). Mother is not necessarily connected to the other two games, but you could make a case for it. Hope that helped!

thats weird how all the towns are layed out almost the same

hacking wise, your right about the map being one image, but I don't reccomend looking using pk hack's map editor cause it freezes up after a few minutes and deletes random door data, making the game pretty much unplayable cause the doors go to black screens. What's cool though is that you can look up stuff like who learns what when, when Jeff can fix something, enemy stats, or even things like Tony's battle stats.
