  • 00:28 Andy Bogard taught him that.

  • 3:54 "Come at me bro"

  • Feather duster badassery FTW.

  • RAMPAGE !

  • 06:55 blatantly using Nullify Ring Out S

  • at 2:06 ip man asked. "as it is called" in Spanish, by chance?

  • @monkieJr I know, and I'm sorry.

  • 0:39 ho! xD

  • Hes the Asian Chuck Norris!!

  • another biased movie trashing japanese

  • @JESUSISGREATEST you can't deny history. btw, the japanese had to be powerful to be able to take this part of china (as well as other places like korea and southeast asia) so your argument is invalid.

  • @JESUSISGREATEST This movie is base on facts, some parts might have been exaggerated but it's true in the past not japanese that took over that region can win IP man in a fist fight.

  • I dont think that thing made from metal. It's made of bamboo.

  • Watching him beat down those guys, is like playing arkham city..

  • I think 'silat' can keep up just as well...

  • If Ip Man would have screamed ATATATATATAA at 4:53 followed by "You're already dead" this movie would have been perfect.

  • Now I know why some Asian mothers use feather dusters to discipline their kids... -.-;

  • 4:13 F*cking Hell

  • lol thums up if you think that ip man fights like a robot :P

  • ITS EASY TO LEARN,JUST TAKES TIME AND DEDICATION,LIKE ANYTHING ELSE.

  • LOL!!

  • ip man's speaking cantonese and the other ppl r speaking mandarin lol

  • Love his son riding in with that background theme.

  • at 6:18 every day im shuffulin!!!!!!!!!!

  • jackie chan is the best bruce lee is history

  • Ip Man taught Bruce Lee

    Bruce Lee taught Chuck Norris

  • how does that sword not cut that thing he's fighting with?

  • @doomsy Because it's made of metal like the sword. You can hear the sound of it while they are fighting.

  • k dude thats obviously wood lol

  • @VIPMediEvil3VIP Actually, it's a mistake they oversaw. The clinging sounds make it seem like it's metal, but if you look at it, you see it's a wooden stick. Also see the bending of the stick at 3:18.

  • @VIPMediEvil3VIP at 3:01 u can see it is bamboo like most dusters used. and if u hit it against a metal sword yes it will make that sound.

  • @Navez2011 must'v been a swiffer

  • @VIPMediEvil3VIP Actually. it's bamboo. The dao sword doesn't cut it because the dao sword is dull and because bamboo is very strong.

  • @VIPMediEvil3VIP um no it's clearly made of bamboo or wood. The metallic sound is only there for sound effects. Technically he never hits the sword edge, only the flat side of the blade and does so deviating the trajectory of the blade rather than blocking the full force of each strike, often hitting it before there's actually much force at all behind the strike. And of course, it IS after all a movie in case the above information isn't sufficient justification XD

  • @VIPMediEvil3VIP actually it's not, it's just bamboo

swords dont cut as easily as movie make them out to be, u need a good solid hit to actually cut or pierce thing with them, and youll notice that IP didnt actually take any sword hits from it, he just deflected them

  • @doomsy I don't think he hits the blade directly. He just hits the side and the rear to redirect it.

  • @doomsy Technically he never hits the sword edge, only the flat side of the blade and does so deviating the trajectory of the blade rather than blocking the full force of each strike, often hitting it before there's actually much force at all behind the strike. And of course, it IS after all a movie in case the above information isn't sufficient justification XD

  • @papapetad thanks for the info, good ole martial arts, so much knowledge of force and physics.

  • @doomsy I only started understanding this sort of thing when I started training in nin jitsu and wing chun. It is fascinating when you do understand but you won't see me going against a sword with a feather duster anytime soon... fuck that I'm not that confident XD

  • @doomsy the beauty of force distribution :D

  • @doomsy Probably the same reason it doesn't cut his foot off when he kicks the blade edge.

  • ip man's child like the jigsaw killer puppet

  • hay.

  • At least 52 punches in 20 seconds...

  • 4:10 that is how one does the splits Ip Man style.

  • he beat him into the floor .....im done lol

  • @MAPakaRedman....lmao yeah that was fucking crazy

  • You know that when Ip Man rolls his sleeves up, shit is about to go down

  • Ip Man vs Boyka I think Ip Man all the way =)

  • @xMasterLegendx for sure!

  • Good thing its Cantonese :)

  • You missed the best one! Right after he faces 10 people...

  • youre done when your trapped on a pole/wall/corner against a wing chun fellow.

  • everybody know that wing chung better is than

    judo

    karate

    takewando

    muy thai

    kickboxing

  • @MadaraPainItachi Ai Ki Do too xD

  • @VIPMediEvil3VIP That's where you're dead wrong already. They all are equals since they have all survived to gain fame amongst people like us. The mountain does not laugh at the river for its lowliness and neither does the river mock the mountain for its immobility.

And for the record, Aikido is a budo(way of life, of peace, of love) it was never for fighting.

  • @Commendor1337 Yes, but it's still for self defens. I've been tarining it as a child.

  • @VIPMediEvil3VIP you've been tanning since you were a child? yer gonna git cancer.

  • @VIPMediEvil3VIP well True on all martial arts and fighting styles. I've been in Aikido for 2 years, and any martial art is great, depending on how you use it in a fight and with you're timing. Aikido at first was based on Samurai Training of the Sword at first, Second: the staff, after later on in modern time: Hand to Hand mostly now. Even Toshiro Suga (7th Dan) agrees with me on that one (Trained with him last summer it was hell but worth it).

  • @Commendor1337 "The mountain does not laugh at the river for its lowliness and neither does the river mock the mountain for its immobility"...That's some deep metaphoric shit bro!

  • @Commendor1337 and yet the river will flow until the mountains are worn away. WWCKFA all tha way, baybay!

  • @Commendor1337 budo-con

  • @VIPMediEvil3VIP haha and MMA and thai chi xD

  • @VIPMediEvil3VIP and MMA

  • @MadaraPainItachi JKD and Wing Chun are the best fighting styles if you ask me. Since Bruce Lee was the master of many though, it's hard to say.

  • @lmfaofailslmfao you're deam right :))

  • @MadaraPainItachi there isnt better marcial art only good fighters

  • @MadaraPainItachi it depends on the person , not the art

  • @MadaraPainItachi

Nothing is the best of theese fighting things its about how much you have trainded how much strenght its all about you!

  • @MadaraPainItachi :) that's right

  • @MadaraPainItachi and MMA and tai chi

  • @MadaraPainItachi Everyone knows it's arrogance and naitivity you're babbling.

  • @MadaraPainItachi No martial arts is better then any other. Its all about who uses it.

  • @MsMarc1234 HAVE TO DISAGREE ON THAT ONE.

  • @pturner14 So?

  • @MadaraPainItachi I DO WING CHUN AND IT IS THE BEST !!!!

  • @MadaraPainItachi You can't compare it to Judo because it's a grappling martial art.

  • @MadaraPainItachi

Shame on you, I say. You should not judge, who are you to say what is better and what is not? All martial arts are equally valid in their own ways, and for you to say one is better than the others is for a small child to say that his toy is better than everybody else's.

And besides, what is "better" is such an incredibly subjective thing: saying something about it almost always makes you a hypocrite.

  • @Axiss360 So true....like in FPS games.A pro can use any weapons and still beat a noob

  • @MadaraPainItachi and MMA

  • @MadaraPainItachi i don't thing so not for muy thai

  • @MadaraPainItachi agreed. btw its wing chun not wing chung

  • @teachmekungfu Also spelt ving tsun by some... wing chun is i think a westernized spelling but i cbf googling it at this time to be 100% accurate on this

  • @MadaraPainItachi

Funny Kung Fu movies require wires and over the top moves, unreal coreography to look cool, yet Tona Jaa's Muy Thai is very realistic (he actually makes contact for most of the moves in his movies) and much more practical. This is fun to watch but not realistic.

  • @rickcrisbalthis acctually every actor in this movie was a martial artist

  • @LioNxHatedTalent

I can appreciate this, most of the fighters in the old Mortal Kombat movie and even the Big Boss with Bruce Lee has a lot of good martial artists, but the fact that a punch can make a guy do a backflip or doing an aerial over someones head about 10 ft in the air or blocking 3 guys at a time doing the same hammer fist over and over is not very realistic.

  • favorite movie

it starting with a kinda comic style of a action movie

but in the second part the japanese has taken over china and you see how the mood changes to a emotinoal greaat movie

  • You all know this is real story of china champions don't belive check history book.

  • Welcher Teil ist Das Von up mans FILM `???

  • It's funny when the kid comes out & says "Dad, Mom says: If you don't start attacking instead of defending, soon everything will be broken." So we know who the REAL master of kung fu is and nobody want's to piss her off. It's like " I'm the King and I have the final say..... Whatever you say dear".

  • they are punching too fast for the camera to catch it!!!

  • WHERE CAN I FIND IP MAN 1 WITH ENGLISH SUBS? Ive been looking and looking

  • @LeBronForTheWin Netflix has both of them with English subs. Not sure if someone already responded to you or not.

  • @milesj72781 I found the subs apparently it's just an .srt file that has to have the same name as the movie and in the same folder then you play the movie and subs come up!

  • hahaha 1:06 Wiehoeiiii! xd

  • haha Ip man is more worring about the plant than about him self xD 0:32-0:36

  • 1:03 - 1:16

And not a single F*** was given

Alternate comment: They see me rolling....they hatin....

  • LOVE YOU DONNIE 4LIFE!!!!!!!

  • When Ip rolls up his sleeves... he's done with the foreplay.

  • i know they're speaking chinese, but in the beginning, whenever the dude breaks something, it sounds like he's saying, "we'll pay!"

  • @jeremiahswee yea, ur right he said : ill pay!

  • isnt ip man the guy who taught bruce lee how to fight

  • @dafirenze921 Donnie Yen is playing the roll of Ip Man, but anyway if you watch the 1st and 2nd part of the fil Ip Man (Ip Man, Ip Man 2) you will know what ever you wanna know about the Wing Chun style and etc.

  • @dafirenze921 yea

  • @dafirenze921 yeah

  • @dafirenze921 yes he was Bruce lee's FIRST trainer

  • @dafirenze921 yes

  • @dafirenze921

Ip Man taught Lee Wing Chun, yes. But Lee himself developed a customized fighting fighting system of his own (Jeet Kune Do).

  • @JeeYaoKuneDo It's good to see people that know something about styles and history. Thunbs up if you agree with me.

  • Comment removed

  • I agree ;)

And it saddens me that people are so caught up with styles and fail to distinguish between artistic purposes, sport and self-defense (even though there is overlap).

Really like the quote: "Before I studied the art, a punch to me was just like a punch, a kick just like a kick. Now that I have studied the art, a punch is just like a punch, a kick just like a kick".

@dafirenze921: Look up Dan Inosanto and Paul Vunak too to get a better understanding.

  • @dafirenze921 yes he was, his son still teaches win chun :D

  • @dafirenze921 yes it is

  • @dafirenze921 YES,HE WAS.

  • @dafirenze921 yes. he and his freind, william cheung, the grandmaster of the wing chun style in its original form. look up WWCKFA. he trains out of melbourne, Au.

  • Love it when his little boy comes riding in and says "dad, mum said if you dont stop fighting soon everythings gunna get broken" so he rolls up his sleeves and delivers a serious ass kicking ... love it !

  • @MUSTAVATUG Actually the little boy says ,,Mom said that if you don't fight back, soon everything will be broken", and the dad says ,, OK"

  • wen donnie yen rolls up his sleeves you know shits going down

  • @Skyrazalius yeah that's right! :D

  • @Skyrazalius well i mean this is much more powerful than defending yourself, and you may get someone killed when you're trying to do these protecting moves! trust me, i'm asian and in those west countries such as china, vietnam, korea, japan, phillipines.... people never protect themselves like this, even if they know kung fu!

  • soooo fast <3

  • This movie was the reason is started taking wing chun lessons :D

  • very nice

  • *Rolls back sleeves* God mode activated

  • woa that may b fun at 4:24 i dont kno ill have someone i hate try it first

  • woa that may b fun at 4:16 i dont kno ill have someone i hate try it first

  • at 0:37 and 0:58, he says like "we'll pay"!!

  • 5:28 ip man punch the karate guy's head with his left hand but he's injured the right hand!! lol

  • @bolalele Dude wasn't he using both hands so he can defeat the 10 karate experts? When I put it this way YEA his right hand must be injured.

  • @VIPMediEvil3VIP but the left hand should be more injured, and they should have filmed the left hand!

  • @bolalele he is not a karate guy

  • @shockadt1 well so i guess he's a boxer, huh mr. expert-in-everything??

  • @bolalele but like a few seconds later they show his left hand which is injured as well

  • When he was punching really fast it sounded like he's dribbling a basketball. Amazing.

  • You missed the part when he's fighting the first guy again in the mill or factory. I think he fights him then, but correct me if I'm wrong.

  • @donkeykong502 Yeah, he did fight him again.

  • he wasnt protecting himself... he came out a cell and said... i wanna fight ten people the guys were like really?!? and he screamed i wanna fight 10 people and he beat the crap outa them

  • I can't believe he got shot after that :O

  • 3:09, it's the younger ip man!

  • @Elodius2 He never fights without having a good reason to, I suggest you watch the film, it's one of my favourites of all time.

  • nice......wish I had that skill to protect my self....=D

  • @soryxsengaje that's murdering, not protecting, pro!!

  • @SamuraiGhost63 that wasn't a school dumbass. Watch the movie before you make fun of it

  • Love seeing people come into a school and beat the shit outta the students!

  • this is wing chung kung fu fighting style

  • what fighting style is this

  • 1:28 "I hit you so hard, I made you fly like Superman."

  • so does the scene where they fight in the factory not consider a fight scene i mean i wasn't a main fight scene but he still kicked some ass in that scene
