Thank you for the dedication and mention, Basil! This is a great list, and I agree with the top 3! Although I wish that Berg had been a little higher! My main wish would be that Ravel at least gets into the top 5, instead of Stockhausen. I love his music so much. Daphnis et Chloe is such a masterpiece, it is one of my absolute favourites, you chose a beautiful excerpt to include! But apart from that, I think you put the composers in correct places! Great video! Will reply to your message soon.
@elgarian497 You're welcome Daniel, not as great as your top 20 composers :))
I think next time Ravel could make top 10, but i cannot ignore Stockhausen just because his music isn't so enjoyable like Ravel's one. His revolution matters for me, that's all.
Yes, Daphins et Chloe is just sublime, it's my piece from Ravel right now.
Glad to hear that you agree with the positions, even i like this list more than the first one.
hah .... i like it very much. espelcially Copland, Ravel, Gershwin, Puccini, Richard Strauss, Bartok, Prokofiev, Shostakovich and Debussy. i love melody by Ravel, Bartok, Shostakovich and Debussy. could you give me names?
@masterclassicalmusic Mickey, thought I would answer those questions for you! The Ravel is from Daphnis et Chloe. Not sure about the Bartok.... I'll let Basil answer that one! ;) The Shostakovich is the first movement from the second piano concerto. Not sure about the Debussy, again I'll let Basil answer that one! ;) Looking forward to more videos from you Mickey!
@masterclassicalmusic Good, Mickey, good, hope to see your clip as soon as possilble!
Daniel was right about Ravel and Shostakovich. The Bartok was Allegro Barbaro, an amazing piano piece, and the Debussy was Pelleas et Melisande ( Intro ) If you have any other questions, just ask!
Could you put in the info the names of the pieces that we hear fragments of? Thanks.

I wonder how no one didn't notice Varese's one, as it's not his Poeme Electronique or Ionisation, but a more "enjoyable" piece ;D
