As a school teacher, I don't ever recall reading/citing the words..."with liberty and justice for ALL" and seeing the word, "except". Separate but equal does not, has not and should not work. As a atheist I just have to say how much respect I have for this Reverend. I think he understands that just because you disagree with a group does not mean they should be treated as second class citizens.
This country was found on freedom of and freedom from religion which means those Catholics and Mormons do not understand the true meaning of the USA. The fact is in the Bill of Rights that a MAJORITY SHOULD NEVER VOTE ON A MINORITY! Which is what happened here with gay marriage.

The law simply states they can't marry within the same sex. They still can practice their shit mining but just cant get married. The priest says "I now pronounce you man and wife". Not "I now pronounce you man and husband". Gays HAVE rights in this country, but shouldn't be above the law or change it because of their chemical imbalance.

Maybe you should consult a Bible scholar. The word "homosexual" was not in the Bible until 1943. Any Bible before then does not condemn gays. A very good Reverend for breaking the barrier and clearing up God's name. He is not homophobic. Read John 3:16, sin is excused because we now have a lawyer.

Defining gay marriage restricts religious liberty (In Massachusetts Catholic charities can't adopt out as their doctrine is "discriminatory") and restricts parental rights (In Massachusetts, homosexual fairy tales were taught as equal treatment without parental authority). I want to protect my kids against what I, as a parent, feel is morally wrong. What about my rights? Why take over the definition of marriage? Domestic partnerships give gays ALL of the same rights. Marriage isn't a right.

I truly don't care who you marry- ANYONE. Anyone implies a consenting adult. It means "any PERSON." Your dog, your computer, your foot, cannot consent, and are not people. But, to be honest? If you would allow to homosexuals to marry people of the opposite sex, then they must be fit to make that decision, then why should they be denied the right to choose each other? If you want to marry your foot, then by all means... Worry about things that really matter, that actually affect you...

I could argue that heterosexual marriage restricts the right of gay parents for the same reason. Their kids are "forced" to hear hetero stories/fairy tales ALL THE TIME in school. But, you see, they are rational about it, and don't run in fear and try to deny YOUR rights. They're happy for their kids to learn acceptance... and aren't stupid enough to think that a storybook is going to determine their sexual preference.
