When you buy the europian (wonder if that's spelled right ._.) version, can you change the audio to Japanese and add subtitles in english?

No. The scenes in the European version were specifically made for the English dialogue, which means that the character's lips movements are aligned with English dialogue. If you change the audio to Japanese, you'll hear Japanese dialogue, but with their lips moving in English. That's why Square Enix hadn't added Japanese audio. They can't add scenes aligned with the Japanese audio because that's adding double the amount of the scenes, which is too much space for the Blu Ray disc.

ok so i just got the game today and have been playing it for 4 hours straight...... when i went back to my Ps3 XMB, i noticed that theres no background image for when you have the disc selected whats up with that, all games have background image on the ps3? Ps3 owners should know what im talkin about, every game has a background image but not FF13

Things always change, Final Fantasy too, but they're all masterpieces in their own rights. 12 wasn't really a masterpiece but still good. 13 is going to be the best game since Oblivion and the best Final Fantasy since 10.

the game is very very linear meaning the first 10 chapters is like one straight road kind of feeling. To an extend it is like trying to get through the chapters quickly instead of enjoying it. Other factors i leave it for you guys to discover, hope it helps

Comparing to FF8, throughout the game u have the ability to play cards (mini game) around the world, seed training, GF capture and ability to travel (renting cars, revisit), drawing magics, grinding materials for ulitmate weapons etc.

In FF13, the first 30 hrs of the game doesnt let u look left or right, only one "straight road", best weapons is means of farming raw materials. In general less side quests, mini games reduced, restriction of freedom to explore until later stages. hope it helps

As a Final Fantasy fan who played 1, 4,6,7,9, and 10, I don't see anything bad about this game despite of being linear, pretty boys, and one of the characters being whiney about it.

They take place in the same world but the characters are different. The main character in Versus is Noctis. The story has no connection to XIII's story.

For once, the main char is a girl who has not been skankified (lightning), the soundtrack sounds awesome, the character designs, minus snows, and some others, look pretty awesome (hope is adorable!) and I'm just even MORE happyt his is coming out, or supposed to, in March, the same month as my birthday! XD muahaha
