  • DERRY! Lol.

  • The Divine Comedy - Sunrise Lyrics -

    I was born in Londonderry

I was born in Derry City too

    Oh what a special child

To see such things and still to smile

I know that there was something wrong

But I kept my head down and carried on

  • Ah, I see you've already been told.

Londonderry is in Northern Ireland, you're confusing it with London, which is indeed in England.

The lyrics you quote are about the violence in Derry during the 'troubles', Unionists typically called it Londonderry, while Nationalists called it Derry. It was as though they were two different cities, but make no mistake - they are the same place. :)
