  • It resembles more a guitarist's interpretation, though I recognize he is certainly in possession of an outstanding lute technique

  • najo, is mir teilweis zu freies tempo; aber ich freu mich, endlich ne aufnahm von der suite gefunden zu haben :))

  • Probably the best lute plyier

  • It's wrong right from the start. He's playing notes here...not gestures...and certainly not expression. What a nightmare performance from one who has given us some beautiful French Baroque music before.Clearly in France he believes his intuition, while in Germany he follows the modern musicology rules of how to kill this music.

  • Ooops.

  • @ThisDream It's true, Weiss was not German. He was born in Grotkau, Silesia. Today that is in Poland, back then it used to be part of Austria. Not German.

  • apenas si se oye

  • Lovely playing; I think it could be just a little slower, it rushes past some nice moments; but still great.

  • Actually I really like this tempo for the prelude. As the "easiest" Weiss suite to play I think it is often taken too slowly. At this tempo it sounds more like a Bach keyboard prelude.

  • Except not quite as inventive harmonically!

  • I'm doing this suite tooooo!

  • Played with great feeling and freedom.
