@Shewolf97x Haha, that probably looks kind of funny to people who aren't familiar with what's going on huh? I'm so used to seeing this that I forget that it's not normal outside of pow wows. Those women are throwing money down at the feet of the dancers they want to pay respect to. It's like saying "good job" to them. The man that is picking it all up is probably the "Arena Director". He collects it all and gives it to the dancers who then either keep it or split it with the drum group.

Actually 752... look again closely. They ARE women dancers... I wasn't totally sure, I think one or two might be men... but many of them were women dancers. And they did a great job!!!!

Actually, I'd have to disagree. These are most definately male dancers. I go to pow wows ALOT, and women a) don't wear that regalia, and b) only have two basic dances they do. Switch dancing is not one of them. There's a regular intertribal step, and there's fancy shawl. This is neither, but still, they tore the place up. Pretty awesome moves. (the men just have long hair and young faces :) )

I wish our pow wow up here in Wisconsin had switch dances. I think it is fun for girls to experience what the guys do and vice versa. It's even funnier when the specials are held for entertainment. The funniest ones I've seen is when the men dance as ladies. They get so creative and cartoony just to give everyone a laugh. The girls, on the other hand, take their men's specials seriously. Sounds like real life, ain't it?
