Bugs do NOT get better in the middle of September, the no-see-ums are
epically terrible until it no longer goes above freezing, sometime in mid to late October. Believe me on this one, I fish the Kvichak most years the first week of October, they are great while it is below freezing in the morning, then hang on to your booty in the afternoon.
