No need for you twits to fret,,,,The Fall will see you embarrassed into extinction. Does not get any better than The FALL. Believe that. It might save your life.
Fall fans think they're special, MES is a daft old git in the corner of the pub and people who think he's god need to get a life.
Let's see how fast I can get a "This comment has received too many negative votes" from fanboys. one-uh, two-uh, three-uh go-uh el el el el ay ay ay ay

A damn good song from a clever poseur that people worship like a god. Smith's output is 70% crap, 25% interesting, 5% good. The way he reads football scores is pretty good though.
What about Stephen Malkmus? As far as I know Mark is still bitter about Pavement's early borrowings, especially on Slanted & Enchanted. So what Mark? I bet that one album probably doubled the audience for The Fall's back catalog, and us Pavement fans love Mark as well. Please Mark, let it go already!
Yep, he's not been so keen on one of the Copeland bros. stealing his "rebellious jukebox" either. Check out What you need" on Wonderful & frightening world....or was it on THis Nations SAving gRace... yeah.
Bitterness... in the end eats people up like trousers eat old men. Not a great habit, but understandable with highly creative people inevitably getting their stuff pinched by commercially smart Joe Averages' posing as artists.
Thanks for the tip, always up for some more Fall. As for commercially smart average Joe, Malkmus was never commercial, and now he's moved way beyond ripping off the Fall, Swell Maps and Pooh Sticks (to great effect I might add) to self-assured solo artist, and each album his slacker guitar wizardry and songwriting ability only seem to get better.
I'm pretty sure you didn't mean Malkmus though, so yeah...negativity sucks.
BTW, props for the hilarious simile, mind if I pinch it? ;)
The simile I meant was the trousers eating old men bit, just wanted to be clear. I know exactly what you mean, the older we get the higher that belt seems to inch up our abdomen...

An interesting cover, but you can't go far wrong covering the Monks.

This is a cover of 'I Hate You' by The Monks. The Fall were largely influenced by The Monks.

Mustn't turn into a personality cult/// Mark never assumes he's particularly inherently better than anyone else ) I think, anyhow :) ).
