Chris Evans is a good actor, but...I don't know. Like this guy says, Chris is a jokey kind of character. Plus he needs to bulk up ( 10 more lbs.) for the role. I was hoping that the director would have gotten, Ryan McPartlin, that actor who plays "Captain Awesome" in the T.V. series "CHUCK" on channel 4. He's got the right look and build about him. He also has an honest quality about him as well.

I absolutely agree with you, I liked Chris Evans as The Human Torch but Captain America he is not.

It sounds odd but i've seen a lot of actors who i didn't think were the right choice, change to fit a role and blow everyone away. Maybe the truth about Chris Evans is that he's going to work out and get the Captain America physique and then he's going to shake off the joker we've all seen. Just take a look at Tom Hardy who played Charles Bronson in the biopic "Bronson". He beefed up in only 5 months. As far as I can see Chris has enough time to be a great Captain America with effort.

Robert Downey Jr everybody was not very excited as him as Iron man very frist time they annouced then he did as Iron man. Chris Evans I don't see him as Cap trust me if trailer for The Frist Avenger Captain America is preview then I will give him try still.

Joe Johnston is still a good Director he did Wolfman.The early stage for the film is going to be 1942 43 44 it's going to place in World War 2 still staying very close to Source Material if teaser trailer is comes out bext year I will judge what I think as him as cap. Rob Downey JR he was a alcholic and then he quits he is Iron man he's a oustanding Iron man.
