It's pretty common to want some sort of revenge after being left out to dry and wither, but the truth is, you have to accept the facts and be the bigger man. If you just tell her ok yeah I agree, this really isn't working out, it tends to make her re-consider leaving you. I only wish I had known that 3 months ago before I basically flushed my life down the toilet by trying to convince her that she should stay with me and that I had changed (which I had improved, yes).
But trust me, I feel your pain man, and it's ok to talk about it, esp with people that understand what you're going through. Take some time for yourself and do something you enjoy. Also, if things are really truly done for good with ur love interest, then you're too good for her anyways and you will find someone better because any girl that leaves a man who obviously cares isn't worth your time. The truth is every relationship is different. I myself just recently went on break with my girlfriend who I moved over 2000 miles to live with. It's really hard for me especially since I really don't know many people out here (aka pretty much no one) but the truth is, if it's meant to be then things will work themselves out. The hardest part is cutting off communication, because that's the reason why we're on break, because we were cut off for 3 months. However, I need to focus on me right now.

Its up to you. Theres a chance you would get hurt if she changes her mind again. If you do get back with her, can you handle the fact she was with another man at the time you two split, and that she had intimate feelings for? If you can deal with it, then go and pursue her. Its up to you at the end of the day. But make sure she knows what she wants so you dont get mucked around again.

Thanks. We had broken up before adn I had made no contact. The she came back to me 9 months but we were just friends but definitely with potential. She lives far away so we were planning to meet. But now she has been swept off her feet.........I will not contact her rom now although I agreed with her that we could remain friends. Have you any other advice ? ? Now that she all 'loved up' with this new guy do I still have a chance?

I've read a few of your comments and I'm not pretending to be some kind of relationship expert but here's how I see you prob. She could be looking through rose-coloured glasses at the moment, meaning she can't see his flaws. I'd give it time and if they break up then go for it. In the meantime, focus on a project, if they don't then try to move on.

Yeah man im having the same thing right now too. What you need to do i do is leave her with a strong emotion then walk away, she'll have that feeling lingering and when she starts feeling unhappy with the new person (girls are always unhappy) then she'll get back in touch with you.
I was studying when it happened to me, 1st thing i did was break her up with the new guy

You dont need to break them up but it helps in the short term. 4 yrs together, I was out of the picture for 6 months studying, came back, talked to her ended up staying at her NEW UNIVERSITY HALLS and we slept together.
This only happened because we were so out of touch for a while and we were emotional when we got back in touch I still had to deal with how she was actting differently because was interested in someone else. Now im trying to piece things together now that its been smashed open.

dude DON'T! don't be friends with her because it will make her think of you as a "friend" not a BF. which will encourge her to go out with another guy. if you want her back, dont be friends.

could someone please help me out? my girlfriend just broke up with me last week. She just got to college and its her first year there. we had been dating almost 2 years. She broke up with me a first time last year, but i ignored her for 2 weeks, then we hung out once, and that night i went over her house and she started crying on me while watching t.v. saying i was the best thing that happened to her and she didnt want to lose me.
So since the first break up i really fell in love with her.

when she first got to college in september she started kind of ignoring me. Then last week we had a conversation and she was just like "i dont think we are as compatible as we thought we were" and "our conversations were getting boring" and "theres someone out there perfect for you"
But i know all of that is bullshit, i may be young but i love this girl and feel i am supposed to marry her, and she was really in love with me too. Maybe its the distance and her feeling smothered at college idk

women do change their feelings - they do evolve and often shift the way they see you. One day, she can say that she's in love with you and date someone else the following day because she simply changed her mind.

In most cases if a woman says she is in love with you she is sure of it,saying those 3 words mean the world to most women, I know I wouldnt say it lightly & I definitly wouldnt go date someone else the next day ! Don't speak of women in such general terms, its like a woman saying all guys want is sex, it's true of some but not the entire gender ! Vitalcoaching is right, man. LEAVE that girl; fast! You and I went through the same exact thing. My girlfriend and I were going to the same college, and a few months before we moved, she was acting funny, and I tried to break it off with her 3 times, but she said she loved me and wouldn't let go, so I didn't make the break. HUGE mistake. I thought she was willing to fight, but a week later she made the cut.

She did the same thing to me. We met up, she cried, said she "missed us", the whole nine yards. But eventually changed her mind again. I think we can both agree that this type of person isn't the person we fell in love with. But it happened. The worst thing you can do is try to be her friend if you're wanting more. It's a ticking time bomb. Vitalcoaching is right, they shifted the way they saw us. We need to move on to better things. Looking and living good is the best revenge.

yea like a month before she broke up w me i noticed something was wrong over the phone. we were in long distance at this point. I was like is everything ok? do you think we should go our separate ways? and she was like "no thats not what i want, i love you"...
So yes it was very confusing, but 2 weeks after she got to college she started ignoring my calls alot, i knew something was up. She didnt leave me for another guy, she said she didnt want to date again for a really long time, cont.

I dnt get it.. why do they just leave you there... and like i gave her a second chance and then what? she just throws it away.. at first she seemed so.. into it but after a while... wow just feeling like shit ryt now... why are they like that they all the sudden take u for granted and if theyre not happy they start flirting around.. instead of talking bout it with their guy... and listen to their friends.. not to mention they only see the negative things in you..

this is classic behavior. Basically when a girl starts to become interested in someone else all of this stuff happens. Everything they tell you is bullshit, it comes down to the fact they are now interested in being with someone else.
What you have to realise is you shouldnt be hurt when this switch comes, she wants to see the negative things in you while the good things are all placed onto someone else.

It's pretty common to want some sort of revenge after being left out to dry and wither, but the truth is, you have to accept the facts and be the bigger man. If you just tell her ok yeah I agree, this really isn't working out, it tends to make her re-consider leaving you. I only wish I had known that 3 months ago before I basically flushed my life down the toilet by trying to convince her that she should stay with me and that I had changed (which I had improved, yes).

But trust me, I feel your pain man, and it's ok to talk about it, esp with people that understand what you're going through. Take some time for yourself and do something you enjoy. Also, if things are really truly done for good with ur love interest, then you're too good for her anyways and you will find someone better because any girl that leaves a man who obviously cares isn't worth your time. You'll be better for it in the end.

The truth is every relationship is different. I myself just recently went on break with my girlfriend who I moved over 2000 miles to live with. It's really hard for me especially since I really don't know many people out here (aka pretty much no one) but the truth is, if it's meant to be then things will work themselves out. The hardest part is cutting off communication, because that's the reason why we're on break, because we were cut off for 3 months. However, I need to focus on me right now.

Woman are said to be the weaker sex, but when it comes to breakups, the tables turn.Woman can be resiliant bitches and get on with things while the men feel down and lost.

I guess counter-intuitive strategies work REALLY well. So far, I completely left her alone for a whole week, and i have to admit that i'm actually feeling quite better. i think 2-4 weeks is kind of short, but it depends.... It's essential that that u have to BE fine with the break up rather than PRETEND since she might notice it which gives a bad impression.

you should have told her to leave her alone "if that's what she wants". Thats it. You have to say or do things that are opposite of what you think you must do. Be careful with your approach because Reverse Psychology can backfire if you use the wrong approach.

My girlfriend and I have broke up 2 weeks ago. I made a serious mistake of messaging her a couple of times after the breakup just to clear things up. She is now really annoyed at me and i just realized that it made me look desperate and needy. I promised her to leave her alone until she's ready. i know i'm in a bad position right now, but is there still a SLIGHT chance for me if i stop it now??

just get over it, i know it can be rly hard. n also don't be too needy, thats how women were lost in the first place, they lose interest...you'll meet another person who will be just as good if not better-my gf dumped me yesterday n i ran into her at the gym on the same day n she said lets just be friends; well i told her i need time to think about this, but deep down in my mind i'm simply goin to forget her n move on; ur next relationship will be better because u learn for ur previous mistakes
