I agree with the other viewers who said it was clear and easy to follow. I actually learned something from this. Please post some more. I think the key really is to keep things simple, and then perhaps to add more involved examples that build upon simple ones. Thanks.
@stretch654 Cool, thank you. If you have a suggestion for a tutorial, feel free to drop me a pm about it. I'm glad that it's helpful and easy to understand.
This video is great in its simplicity and clarity. Thank you for this.
There are a LOT of zBrush retopo videos but they are either unclear, too unnecessarily long or don't really teach you anything (except show the uploader retopologizing); but this one is to the point and clear.
Looking forward to more videos from you, and for more advanced topics. Subbed!
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I have been everywhere on the internet, and this is the video that finally tied all the info together so I could understand retopology.
I was wondering, is there no quick way of doing this for a full character? Basically I'm going to make a very high poly mesh, then make new topology for it using your method. Do I have to do this fully manually? Also is there a way to project the new topology onto the original mesh, but still keep the low poly new topo?
@sebcastilho I'm not 100% sure if you can project topology, but the way i show in the tutorial works for me, I've recently done a cowboy head sculpt that I started in Sculptris then retopologized and further detailed in zbrush, it worked out well and I'm pleased with the result. Have some patience, it's worth it in the end.
