To most, the storyline stinks because it is hard to follow. To me, I think the abstract nature of the storyline helps highlight the rest of the movie. It's true with any high art low story movie: you love it or hate it. I love it.

Tbh zack snyder is a visionary. This movie hit the target audience (teenage boys) and spat in our faces by making all the antagonist males. It gives us the message that women aren't just sexual objects because they are portrayed to be like that by the media. I have been living in a australia for 16 years before I saw this film and I did think of women as sexual objets which I regret... but it only took 1 film to change me and make me grow up into a person I can be proud of.

Loved this movie, mainly because Zack Snyder thought out of the box and made something that we've hardly seen before. Great music, descent acting, amazing visual effects and the photography was excellent as well. I think people didn't like it because it was different. i saw a good storyline.... i saw a terrible follow through. visuals were amazing.. but i kept thinking the people who wrote each "mission" were smoking pot and pulling ideas out of their asses saying "hey! lets use this!"
