They noticed Assad because when Ben Ali Fell, Mubarak Fell, Gaddafi fell (ALL Arab dictators in the same Region) they decided to try there luck and make Bashar fall because they saw there brothers do it in Tunisia, Libya and Egypt. Everyone is pissed at Bashar, from Turkey to Pakistan (including all the Arab/Muslim countries). His only friend now is Iran. And Iran is only there because they want to maintain a Shia alwaite hold on Majority Sunni Syria.
