you should really change your makeup sponges after every 2-3 uses. sponges harbor SO much bacteria, which is going to clog your pores and break you out. it's honestly best - hygeine wise, application wise, and money wise - to just invest in a nice brush, and clean it once a week or so. if you find a good brush, you can use it for ALL your face makeup. but the sponge makes your face look cakey and uneven. it's also, REALLY gross that you lick your makeup brushes :x

@emmaluhhdat I know, I use a new one every week actually, well flip the side every week. But thanks for letting me know! & I lick my brush to make it wet before so that my eye-shadow will give more color. It also lasts longer on me when I make it damp.

@enchantedelsie i understand that; wet eyeshadow always lasts longer. i suggest using a primer, though. even just a concealer will help to do the same things without having to stuck your makeup brush in your mouth lol. but, urban decay primer potion and too faced shadow insurance, or mac paint pots, are all REALLY nice primers/bases that will do the same thing. if you don't wanna spend $17 on a makeup product, just get a 98 cent travel-sized spray bottle and put water in it :)
