i recently took pcylocybin for my second time, my first experience was on about 1.75g of dry mushrooms, and my second on 2.5g the trips were very similar in some ways to what he has said, colors were incredibly vibrant, the feeling is that of pure bliss and joy. Also pcylocybin is like talking in a language of colors and pure happiness and excitement. Deffinatelly looking foreward to exploring higher doses of them in the future

I think you can generalize it - you just have to be extremely careful and attentive. That's what was so incredible about McKenna, in my eyes. He somehow paid more attention then anyone else did (or at least, he learned how to express it through language better then anyone else I've ever heard).

Just a word of caution, he's describing his way of taking psychodelics, he had plenty of experince with them. I wouldn't recommend smoking anything after taking shrooms for beginners, last thing you want when you are super sensitive to the tiniest sensations is smoke entering your body.

I love these! One thing I thought was odd, though, was him describing psilocybin's trip being science fiction-y. I've never gotten anything like that out of shrooms, the closest I ever got was a shitty shrooms trip where I was convinced I was a being from a higher plane of existence put here by mistake, but it wasn't from a different physical location. One of my most potent memories that I still cannot explain to this day. It was something VERY different. I have never experienced that sort of presence or feeling again.

Hey, I just need some advice. I'm not an avid drug user, but would like to try shrooms. I've only tried cocaine, weed, and mdma. Now with Ganja, I would get paranoid a lot... Pretty much everytime I smoke. I get panic attacks and I always get a feeling of something bad happening. Would you recommend me trying shrooms? If so, I should I prepare for it? and how much? i get really paranoid too, i bet its because of the people you are around. for some reason i get lots of anxiety around people but im perfectly fine alone. i would suggest to quit for awhile and clear your system completely of bud before you try shrooms. i had a whole eighth my first time...best experience of my life. just prepare yourself mentally and im sure you'll be fine. weed is different than boomers so i wouldn't be worried, just don't smoke for awhile...

If you get paranoid a lot on marijuana I wouldn't advise psychedelics until you can figure that out.
I think some good things to try is having a beer while you come up on psychedelics just don't have too much. This can help. To get rid of anxiety take some Kava Kava, it's good for stopping fear. You can get rid of a lot of the problems you might have on psychedelics if you take a Xanax, it will lower your trip significantly and you shouldn't take it unless you absolutely need to.
thats so sad! Could I suggest that it could possibly be your setting? Try smoking it with your closest of closest friends. Or if alone, only in your home where everything is safe and comfortable :)
However, I think mushrooms has a lot to do with being around people you HONESTLY feel good and safe around. If you begin falling into a bad trip, you're going to want to be around people who wouldn't pass judgment on you and only wish to help.
I would not recommend you try shrooms if you're getting panic attacks after smoking weed. Now about those panic attacks, they are probably brought on because you're worried that you will have a panic attack, I always found it best to go for a walk outside in the fresh air when ever I got a bit of panic when stoned. Sitting down in a small room with not much to occupy yourself with can bring about all kinds of bad thoughts and make you regret smoking it.
Also it is good to remind yourself of time by checking how long it has been since you smoked the weed, then remember the peak of the high is only going to last 45 minutes. After that you will feel more calm :)

@Psychyou1 This panic attack or paranoia occurs for me sometimes in Indica blends of Cannabis. An Indica strain (which is common) is more of a body buzz and is supposed to suppress pain. Sativa (which is entirely harder to obtain) is more of a psychedelic type of buzz, more involved in shredding lairs withing your being and awakening detached from ego. Try to find a Sativa blend. For your anxiety, this can be solved by taking slow, deep breaths (as learned in meditation) and drinking water.

I think you can generalize it - you just have to be extremely careful and attentive. That's what was so incredible about McKenna, in my eyes. He somehow paid more attention then anyone else did (or at least, he learned how to express it through language better then anyone else I've ever heard).

Just a word of caution, he's describing his way of taking psychodelics, he had plenty of experince with them. I wouldn't recommend smoking anything after taking shrooms for beginners, last thing you want when you are super sensitive to the tiniest sensations is smoke entering your body.

I love these! One thing I thought was odd, though, was him describing psilocybin's trip being science fiction-y. I've never gotten anything like that out of shrooms, the closest I ever got was a shitty shrooms trip where I was convinced I was a being from a higher plane of existence put here by mistake, but it wasn't from a different physical location. Maybe I'm just not doing enough shrooms haha.

The reason it was so shitty was because I still believed everyone else was human, and that I was incapable of truly connecting with any of them because they were all lower beings. Not fun!

One of my most potent memories that I still cannot explain to this day. It was something VERY different. I have never experienced that sort of presence or feeling again.

These machines were connected by insanely huge wires and pipes. No specific details. But that's what I remember.

I must have misheard "LD50" as "LSD" because I could have swore he was talking about LSD, not MDMA at the end. That's why I was so baffled about the dosage. Makes perfect sense now.

Hey, I just need some advice. I'm not an avid drug user, but would like to try shrooms. I've only tried cocaine, weed, and mdma. Now with Ganja, I would get paranoid a lot... Pretty much everytime I smoke. I get panic attacks and I always get a feeling of something bad happening. Would you recommend me trying shrooms? If so, I should I prepare for it? and how much? Well, if you get panic attacks every time you have a smoke; maybe you should wait a couple of years, & see if you've got a better handle on consciousness.
At least wait untill you can handle your smoke before you go anywhere near any of the true psychedelics.
Why do you get panic attacks when your stoned? Are you just too worried about being busted, or what? I'd recommend studying what's making you nervous next time/s - if you can figure it out, then you've learned something about yourself.

i get really paranoid too, i bet its because of the people you are around. for some reason i get lots of anxiety around people but im perfectly fine alone. i would suggest to quit for awhile and clear your system completely of bud before you try shrooms. i had a whole eighth my first time...best experience of my life. just prepare yourself mentally and im sure you'll be fine. weed is different than boomers so i wouldn't be worried, just don't smoke for awhile...

If you get paranoid a lot on marijuana I wouldn't advise psychedelics until you can figure that out.
I think some good things to try is having a beer while you come up on psychedelics just don't have too much. This can help. To get rid of anxiety take some Kava Kava, it's good for stopping fear. You can get rid of a lot of the problems you might have on psychedelics if you take a Xanax, it will lower your trip significantly and you shouldn't take it unless you absolutely need to.

I often have felt the same way when smoking.
However, I think mushrooms has a lot to do with being around people you HONESTLY feel good and safe around. If you begin falling into a bad trip, you're going to want to be around people who wouldn't pass judgment on you and only wish to help.

I would not recommend you try shrooms if you're getting panic attacks after smoking weed. Now about those panic attacks, they are probably brought on because you're worried that you will have a panic attack, I always found it best to go for a walk outside in the fresh air when ever I got a bit of panic when stoned. Sitting down in a small room with not much to occupy yourself with can bring about all kinds of bad thoughts and make you regret smoking it.

Also it is good to remind yourself of time by checking how long it has been since you smoked the weed, then remember the peak of the high is only going to last 45 minutes. After that you will feel more calm :)

@Psychyou1 This panic attack or paranoia occurs for me sometimes in Indica blends of Cannabis. An Indica strain (which is common) is more of a body buzz and is supposed to suppress pain. Sativa (which is entirely harder to obtain) is more of a psychedelic type of buzz, more involved in shredding lairs withing your being and awakening detached from ego. Try to find a Sativa blend. For your anxiety, this can be solved by taking slow, deep breaths (as learned in meditation) and drinking water.

I have a question to ayahuasca users.
In the beginning of the experience, when you are purging... Does the act of vomiting throw you into a bad trip?
If i was in severe stomach disconfort, i dont think i could snap out of it and see beautiful things.

For me, the comfort which settles in after vomiting is extremely comforting and it puts things into perspective. I feel like; Okay, now that the stupid and challenging shit is over, lets get into the real meaningful search of the thing.
I'm on McKenna's page. When you're on an Ayahuasca trip you are slave to it's will and it has once put my personal life into perspective for me.
I think that's what it's best used for, but I haven't meddled with it in awhile.

DMT may occur naturally in our brains, however the vehicle that we use to replicate its presence by smoking DMT, is incidentally extracted in exactly the same way as Cocaine. Cocaine and Heroin are just as natural as DMT. They are all derivative of plants. Opium and Heroin are the same product only in different stages of purity. Morphine, for example is a man made drug, only because it is synthesized Heroin. You're not making sense.

No, heroin is synthesized from morphine by adding anhydrous acid. Morphine and Cocaine are just as naturally occurring as DMT, whereas heroin is man-made (actually semi-synthetic) because it synthesized from morphine, which occurs naturally in the opium latex.

But, I would sumit to you that most people who have travelled that road are, in some sense, avoiding the quintessence of what 'real' 'life' is all about - & that is the conquest of dimensionality: Be it meeting strange people, being exposed to, & understanding obscenely novel information, experiencing deeper levels of consciousness, via bio-software - ad infinitum.
