  • Que ternura, que dulsura, que voz tan sutil, sensual saxofon me llega al alma y me hace brotar lagrimas, esto parece musica de otro mundo o allà te tranporta.

  • So, so beautiful. Really love this.

  • She sings the best version of this Song, I like Carmen McRae and Nancy Wilson singing it but Etta Jones has so much more in her voice to me:) and it has the best instrumental too :D

This is a vastly underrated song and vocalist

  • Ah YES! Etta & Houston ! They made BEAUTIFUL music together!

  • I love, love, love etta jones. i am trying to follow in her footsteps. she was a huge influence on me. would love to find more recordings

  • OMG! Mind-breaking, Tear-jerking!

Ditto with Etta Jones', "So I Love You", "My Romance", etc., etc.!!!!

    Beautiful, thoughtful videography, "dorton39".

    Thanks!

  • Etta's career was 1944-2001, her best work in the '60s with Oliver Nelson and Jug. Some of the later recordings suffer from too much reverb and electronica in the orchestrations (as on this example). But she's on my list of the top 5-7 jazz vocalists of the last century.

  • So? Who are your other 6? I"m really still getting to kow Etta Jones myself. The more I hear the more I like. She wasn't anyone anyone in my crowd talked about.

  • arraso total!!!!!!

  • No one can sing like Etta, no one:)

  • There aren't enough videos of Etta Jones singing.

    She is awesome!

  • Man....this is soooo nicely done.

  • great...

  • Etta Jones... one of the most underrated singers of all time. It still makes me wonder why Etta never got the recognition she really deserved....

  • This song is transcendent-and really one of the greatest soul jazz pieces ever. Too bad they never got to record the twenty-minute version! Imagine a very long dance with your one and only love-zken in california

  • Love you, Etta. You make my heart sing when I hear you sing. Can't wait to get to heaven so I can hear you sing in person.

  • as didleybopp mentioned, maybe the longest intro in history, but i enjoyed every note.

    terrific visuals, too.

  • This exemplifies the Golden Age of Jazz.

  • Etta Jones was a sweetheart, never saw her in person, but I have most of her albums and cherish her memory.

Etta and Houston were like Billie and Lester, they were made for each other.

    God bless you Etta.

  • I always wanted to learn how to play the sax like Houston Pearson he makes that sax sing. As for me I'm one of the twins son. Wishing they all was here. Peace!

  • I will always love her. She is my cousin and my mother and aunt is up there with her. Her favorite cousin's the twins. I know they are watching over all of us. It was very hard to see her sick. She didn't know anyone on her last few days on earth. I love you cousin Etta your songs was the greatest. The one that was a hit was "Don't go to Strangers".

  • Masterful & heartfelt singing one of the best.

  • the intro was a beautiful kind of torture - clocking in at 3 minutes! great soft horn work but i was dying of anticipation by the time her voice came in. what a build up and well worth the wait. the song is called "don't misunderstand". classic!

  • Absolutely incredible!

  • Nice video!! What is the song playing in the background? I like it...

  • Don't Misunderstand-Houston Pearson & Etta Jones.

  • I am living in ATLANTA, GA, now. This is the
