Guys, in the game Psycho Mantis is supposed to be able to read your mind and make the battle extremely hard. However, that's where the Hideo screen comes in. Notice how it's in the corner as if it were to say "Video" like the input of your TV :P. But that's the opportunity to switch your control to the 2nd port and that will keep Mantis from reading your mind.

i really love this game but what i love the most are the boss battles and the LIFE meters...i find them somehow facinating and inspiring...

I'm just curious, what is that HIDEO screen that sometimes comes up?

For those who don't know, it is possible to beat him without the controller trick and even without the statue trick...in fact he can evade only a set number of attacks before you can actually hit him. In normal difficulty he evades 7 times, then the 8th attck always hits. I usually use punches for the first attacks, then switch to fa-mas to good damage.

try beating him no damage without changing the controller port, and in the description u say laying down is cheap yet u used chaff grenades on fox, and was standing where the tank wouldn't move.....and now u wanna call laying down cheap? lol figures since dodging them without laying down isn't difficult -_-

I got so pissed when Psycho Mantis and I had a dot of health left and all my weapons had no bullets left but I had one grenade so I threw it and it killed Psycho Mantis but it also killed me because I was too close...

how are you able to run and shoot with the socom pistol? Is that only able on extreme?

You hold X while running. And from what I understand, it's only possibly in certain versions. This is the PAL version.

This guy freaks me out. But the fight was fun. It was however weird that the screen said HIDEO until you changed the controller port. It took me and my dad forever to figure it out.

you can die... and then after that call someone and then they will tell you to destroy the statues that way he wont be able to read your mind thus you kill him easly

I like how that was put into place. It also applies if for any reason the controller 2 port was broken on the PS1.

make a save state and then quit the game then make the controls in like port 1 pad 2 or something its hard to explain but ive done it

What's the difference between difficulties? Besides having no radar (and I think damage since this is a no damage game) I don't see any difference, and I played in Very Easy.

the enemies can't see and hear as far than in very easy and I think you have less ammo and can find and carry less rations in Expert
