  • I always told myself that after the MMR is when I noticed signs, but other people told me that my son has always had the signs, but I sometimes wonder...

And what are the signs of abdominal disease? Never heard about it until today.

And you have good videos out, your son is beautiful, with or without Autism.

  • Autistic people might be more prone to intestinal problems. But they don't always go hand in hand. I have never had any significant intestinal problems. What I have had is Epilepsy, which autistic people are more prone to than neurotypicals. "Self injurous behaviors are an attempt to escape estraordenary[sic]abdominal pain". That could be, but SIB's are also a means of communication and a result of frustration at the inability to communicate verbally.

  • In Mickie's case the head banging was directly due to severe abdominal pain.

  • In Dr. Wakefield"' own words;____There exists a subset of children who are vulnerable to developing a particular form of regressive autism following previously normal development in combination with a novel form of inflammatory bowel disease. Onset may

occur over weeks or sometimes months, and is triggered by exposure to a measles containing vaccine, predominantly the measles mumps rubella vaccine (MMR), that is in use in much of the world today.

  • are there any good studies to back this up?
