David Mead is the greatest musical discovery in my past 6 years, and I'm a "voracious listener." Song structure, lyrics, inventive arrangements, themes and harmony saturate this jaded ear to satisfaction. How people can be talking and miling about while he performs eludes me—but the superlatives mentioned (above) are lost on most people anymore. His sin is that he was born during an unappreciative era, but we who appreciate him are blessed with the discovery of this oasis...
hey greger, you say unappreciative era, but I think you're mistaken. I mean haven't you seen the artists, like Lady Gaga, we "appreciate" right to the top of the charts?
Seriously, I'm only kidding about that lol, but your comment hits the nail right on the head. It seems like good music is hard to find these days and David Mead is a breath of fresh air. I've seen him several times in Chicago and he never disappoints. Its nice to know hes still making music for people like us that still care
Hey guys. I stumbled across this clip and just wanted to let you know I think this is a really beautiful song. I'm a old friend and fan of Bill DeMain stretching back to his days at the University of Maryland. (ask him about his foray into musical theater and rap). Anyway, I was happy to find he is still making great music (although I expected nothing less).
One of the best new songwriters of our time - up there with Paul Simon, Elliot Smith, Nick Drake and Brian Wilson
