Also whenever i go for a grab i go and throw myself off axis which is a no no at the mountain im at so i guess what am i doing wrong and can you make a cork 540 how to video :)

  • Officialxyzl that is very good I have been snowboarding for like 7 years and I just got the 360 down!

  • HEY, CAN U ANSWER THIS. i learned how to do a 180 and 360 in literally 3-4 tries.. (i push my self to do stuff so i learn very very quick)

i only boarded 3 times. and i know how to do a 360. is that very good? cause i dont know if this is normal?

    THANKS IF U CAN ANSWER!

(its been bothering me somehow xD)

  • I don't get it I can do a backflip off a jump but not a 360

  • @dragons5159 can you make a tutorial on a backflip if you do ill make a tutorial on frontside 360 for you :)

  • for some reason my 3s look really messy and aren't smooth slow turns like in the video, they're like a rush and I usually barely complete the full rotation. Help?

  • hey man i was just wondering, i can frontside 360 and 540 but i wanna learn how to do backside spins now, i can only get to a 180 when i do 3's backside, any suggestions on how i could learn how to complete the spin?, it would be very helpful because i wanna be able to spin frontside and backside

  • @Deezydizzlle123 without the grab dude all steeze is lost. its like a ballerina spin haha

  • @sierrasnowboard I get my spin and grab perfectly and then when i land i always stay up but i seem to ride backseat heavily. so i never really stomp my spins easily which makes it hard in slopestyle to move on to the next feature. any advise? am i doing something wrong in the air or should i post a vid of it?

  • i think 360 is easer than the 180

  • thanks man, one of the best tutorials on the tube.

  • is it nescesarry to do an ollie when i do back 3?

  • @maxiim666 YES! i would highly recomend it.

  • question guys! i have a gnu carbon credit btx and i know its kind of like a jib powder fun board but will i be able to hit some kickers with it? just like 20 and maybe 30 footers nothing extreme?

  • Hi I'm a beginner I have a really cheap snowboard from target but other that I'm clueless. I need to know how much the total cost is and when to buy. Please help

  • @bloxsmasher115 - You can pick up used or last years boards for the $100 to $200 range, maybe less. Then you need bindings, boots, helmet, goggles, ect. Its not cheap but once you have it you are good for a few years depending how you ride and progress. I would advise you look for an all mountain board, the Rosingol Angus is really good and is not that expensive compared to its quality.

  • @bloxsmasher115 new boards generally range from 200-600$ (although lots cost a lot more) bindings generally range from 100-400$ boots the same, this is all new, you can buy used just make sure you have a friend who knows their stuff on snowboard gear to check it out. the best time to buy is usually after christmas and spring for sales but if your 6 foot 5 like me make sure you get gear that fits before they run out of stock. for a beginner, drop 550$ on your setup 300$ for the board 250$ rest

  • Turning toward where your stance is idk if it's front side or backside because every one says something different. But frontside is deffinaty easier, just pop off the lip and turn yer head and you should get it. All I do I spin my head and I'm good

  • Hi, just wanted to say that I love your videos and i have a quick question. I've landed a back 3 once or twice but most of the time i just get caught up and 90 degrees and bail. Do you know what i could do to fix that?

  • is backside or frontside easier

  • @gamersh3aven

Technically backside is easier, because of body mechanics, but since fear is involved frontside is easier

  • how olds that motherfucker, in green and orange! :12 im 16 and cant do it :P

  • i always cork it and over rotate when i go for bs 360 i end up doing a bs cork 450 but can never land them how do i stop???

  • @jonty1414 you're going to want to unwind your body in the air sooner.

Example: do a front flip on a trampoline, if you curl into a ball while flipping and don't let it go you will land on your head or knees. If you let it go just in time you land right. And if you don't curl up at all you most likely land on your back.

As for the cork, try doing a bs 270 in some powder(powder jump). once you get rid of the fear of landing on your back, you'll see an improvement.

  • are you in washington, that looks like mt.rainier almost

  • Hey, ive been watching your snowboarding vids and was wondering how to get started on snowboarding. If you can help, much appreciated =)

  • @Masterofgamesvids - Check out our Beginners Guide. You may want to take a lesson on the snow to get you started.

  • Amazing vids. Thx Sierra

  • Hey, I had a quick question. When I try back 3's, i shift really far right. What should I do?

  • @alexgruber93 - Straighten out your approach and be more patient off the lip of the jump as you spin into your trick.

  • is it really nescesarry to grab it, i went snowboarding once, and did a 540, idk mabye cause i skate, it comes easy

  • @Dezzydizzlle123 - You really should score a grab if you want to get style points.

  • @sierrasnowboard I snowboard for a while, and I really wanna do some jumps. Can you give me some tips please?

  • @Dezzydizzlle123 you did a 5 the first time u snowboarded? i guess im gonna quit haha

  • @Dezzydizzlle123 sorry u did not do a 540 the first time u snowboarded

  • thanks guyz

  • im having problems commiting to the grab on any of my spins. im not sure why but i seem to strighten my legs everytime i spin. i can stop a 3 and 5 but it looks weak without the grab. any tips on getting the grab with the spin?

  • @jibmonkey33 - It sounds like you are not generating pop off the lip. The pop is what puts your board up to your hand for grabs. Be patient off the lip of the jump. Once you are hitting your pop with the right timing, as the tail is coming of the jump, you will also need much less effort to score your spins.

  • how do i stop from corking when i 3?

  • @notsuchaclevername11 - You need to be a balanced stance while in your approach and at takeoff.

  • would i pop like an ollie or just jump with both feet? because thats what i'm having trouble with.

  • @MrSnowblend - You can simply pop with both feet, but you want to make sure you are loading the board to the tail as you pop.

  • thanks a lot just realized what i was doing wrong

  • @dumbbroadcasts - Happy we could help.

  • hey ive had trouble with them its like im puttin all the spin i can and im comin 90 degrees short what do i do im only elven almost twelve i can do 180 combos with grabs like methods and stuff im going to greek peak saturday and i need help with them

  • @Snowboard655 - You need to better time the pop with the spin. If your timing is off it does not matter how hard you try to make the spin happen. When the timing is precise you will not need much effort.

  • im trying these tonight at the park

  • I've been having trouble spinning flat, I always go slightly cork (i guess) and end up landing with my weigh back over my back foot, heelside edge. What should I do?

  • @AlexDeMars123 - Your weight is aft at the point of take off. It could either be from your stance in your approach or position at take off.

Square up your stance and make sure not to pop until the last moment.

  • whats your view on the hourglass technique? to turn heel side then when u reach the base of the jump, turn toeside and keep turning till you reach the top and by the time you get their youl be straight and doing a 360

  • @Iskate2metal - It can be okay when applied or taught correctly. It can make the spin unstable due to relying on the turn to generate the spin. It also tends to make it difficult to do larger spins, 540+.

I recommend a small setup turn and generate the spin by timing the rotation of the body with the pop off the lip of the jump.

  • i see you've been to hcsc. i'm going this summer but i was just wondering how you liked it?

  • @mikeandike76 - It is amazing!!

  • would you say that jumping off the back foot would be easier than pooping with both feet?

  • @Studmuffin695 - You still need to get the front foot into the game to keep yourself balanced as you start the spin.

  • @Studmuffin695 is that possible to poop with your feet =P jk

  • what does it mean to like "lock your core"

  • @Chillman104 - It means to flex the core muscles.

  • I saw a sierra snowboard not too long ago at butternut in MA.

  • do you have any more advice for grabs and what grabs are easiest?

  • @MAV6724 look, what i do is for backside spins i do a melon grab and for frontside spins i do a indy grab

  • @MAV6724 - Check out the Scoring Grabs Video

  • i have a problem, when i try backside 360 i cant spin the whole rotation. i always landing 270 and my shoulder is always come to late when i spin. sorry my bad english.

  • @eivov16rrroooccckkk - Make sure that you are not stalling your spin. Keep looking until you see the landing. If you are at 270 and looking straight down the landing you should be able to use the legs to finish the rotation.

  • i cant do 180's cause i suck at rideing switch can i just skip that and go for the 3?

  • @poopeyzi watch his tip on riding switch and practice for a few days on easy greens/blues. I used to have the same problem, but trust me it pays to learn to ride switch. even just to practice the 180 rotation, throw a 180 and land on your toe edge into a revert.

  • @dinosaurzez yeah thanks for the tip but so stoked i learned 3's off this 10 footer 2nd try but yeah ill try learning to ride switch

  • @poopeyzi - You can, but you really should dial in your switch and 180 first.

  • @poopeyzi even practice bs 180s then keep spinning to regular stance which is the same as a 360 essentially you just get used to the rest of the spin on the ground

  • what is easier to learn first, FS or BS 360

  • @TheGreatOne222 - All depends on the rider.

  • would you recommend popping off a flat base when coming off the lip or jump like an ollie?

  • @xXrob25Xx - Come slightly off one of your edges.

  • i love the sierra boards ;)

  • what does it mean to lock your core?

  • @maxethag - Flex through the abdominal region of the body to connect the upper body to the lower body.

  • were is this?....i started snowboard like a week ago and figured out im really good at it and i fianlly got theese down.

  • @paintballmaster69lol - Mt. Hood during Summer - High Cascade Snowboard Camp

  • @paintballmaster69lol I bet you can't even do a straight air...jesus ou look fucking retarded on your video too...

  • @theleftofnowhere dude that video was my brother...he was trying to make a funny video...but ok

  • i have frontside 360's down pretty well now but on my backside 360's for some reason my body gets kinda inverted and i either land on my back or side, is there any tips on how to prevent this? thanks

  • @jujitsu88 - Make sure you are in a balanced stance in your approach and takeoff and focus on your timing and pop off the lip of the jump. Work on your 180's before your 360's.

  • That Orange kid at 0:11-0:12 is soooo Beast, fucking Sweeet, best of all the BS 3's in this vid (sorry to all other riders)

  • @leafblowinSK8 - That is Toby! He is a really sick rider.

  • @sierrasnowboard All the best to Toby then:)

And ofcourse to everyone at sierra snowboards :D

  • i wish you were here up in north ogden, then you could teach me how to do stuff haha

  • @IBITEPRETTYHARD21 - Enjoy SnowBasin and Powder Mountain!!

  • @sierrasnowboard yeah and you can enjoy park city and the canyons haha

  • I did :)

  • do you think it depends on you are are regular or goofy for a backside to be easier

  • @TheDCshoesdude - No it does not make a difference unless you are trying them on a hip style feature.

  • very nice!

tho i'll have need to learn a good 180 first :P

  • @eHagdorn - Be sure to check out our 180 videos to get you started.

  • are 360's backside or frontside, easier to learn on bigger or smaller jumps?

  • @skateandsnow37 - Smaller jumps will be easier and many people think it is easier to start with the Backside 360 since you can spot your landing easier.

  • @sierrasnowboard ok thanks, i have tried a few frontside not backside and found landing quite hard, so i will have ago at backside and hopefully i will be able to get them

  • which is easier to do, backside- or frontside360?

  • @MicroScooterBoy89 - Depends on the rider, but Backside 360's are easier for me. - Doug

  • are you a session rider now?????????????????

  • @cloudstrife536 - Yes, I am riding all Sessions soft gear these days.

  • @sierrasnowboard oh ok, thats pretty kool. were you sponsored by burton?

  • @cloudstrife536 - No, I worked with Burton and they help stoke me out.

  • @sierrasnowboard oh, ok... thats pretty kool. i know someone who works for burton, and he gets new free stuff ALL THE TIME, haha

  • sweeeeet.
