  • speaking for myself, I feel that I have more stability by holding it firm BETWEEN my middle finger and pinky.

  • Just out of curiosity, why the bottle neck on the ring finger instead of the pinky?

  • @retardedjoe12 Because with the slide on your pinky your three strongest more dextrous fingers are still free to play notes. Plus, depending on how your guitar is set up, it's easy to play minor, dominant etc.. chords (assuming an open major tuning) with the fingers behind the slide.

  • @epicdeuce I use the slide on my ring finger,and have no trouble in playing chords,you just have to develop the strengh in your pinky,with some of the Robert johnson turnarounds its actually easier,especially if you have shorter fingers
