While Joey M. was seriously hurt by a ladder in 2006 he didn't retire until 2008

before retiring he was in OVW trying to return to the WWE but they showed no interest sadly

basically the injury didn't stop him from wrestling it just made it too hard for him to wrestle safely. At least he doesn't run the risk anymore and I still wonder what he is doing today
