The problem I foresee is those who believe the rapture will prevent them from tribulation could be very depressed if it doesn't happen and they are faced with very difficult time on this earth. They will be emotionally crushed to think they were wrong and have to face tribulation after thinking they would escape it. THAT is when satan will press hard upon them and lead them away from God.

We do believe there is a rapture, but it will not be secret nor will it occur before the tribulation. 1. Reformers in the past believed Church of rome as antiChrist.

Honestly no one know for sure what will happen during the end times. How about we all just focus on getting our hearts right with God now and then it won't matter what happens because we will be saved regardless. Left behind is a fictional story based on the interpretation of revelations by the authors. Either way right or wrong it is still fiction.
Paul himself quashes this argument in I Corinthians 15:50-52:
Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed—in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
So the transformation of living saints and the resurrection and the last trumpet(Second Coming) are at the same time- a singular event.

31 And one shall undertake to fight against another, one city against another, one place against another, one people against another, and one realm against another.

First off the word "Rapture" does not exist in the entire Bible. Secondly, the 7 year second chance so popularly believed to be awaiting all those who did not make it in the rapture is a huge deception! And yes, the church will pass through the great tribulation in that they will have to come face to face with Satan and remain righteous without a Mediator in Heaven.They will need to pass a great test and to do so they will have to start working on their faith from now!
Jesus himself spoke of the tribulation as something we would pass through. The rapture is actually the moment when He comes (with everyone seeing Him) and how we will be transformed to meet Him. In the blink of an eye we will meet Him with in the sky with those who died in Christ.

I don't put much emphasis on this anyway because I don't believe it will matter to me. I live according to Gods will so if there is going to be a rapture it will take me. If not, then I need to be mentally prepared for the tribulation.

What do you think it means when we read about the righteous who will experience "Jacob's trouble" in Revelation? Jesus warns that we should not be surprised when such things happen. My friend, you are confusing the rapture with the second coming of Christ, like so many other people do. The Bible warns us of things to come like famine, pestilance, war, etc. and that when these things come to pass, that is a warning of Gods coming (rapture). Now, after the 7 year tribulation, God will come again (second coming) to fight against Antichrist (Armageddon).
It's called a "second" coming for a reason. Jesus came once, as the Lamb. He will return as the Lion, so that everyone shall know that He is King of Kings.
Mat 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
Mar 13:9 But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.
Guess what. If you can figure out when the "sudden destruction" of the wicked takes place in I Thess. 5:3, and when "death" is ended in I Cor. 15:54, you will know where to place the rapture on your prophecy chart because both passages talk about the "times and seasons" (and the "when" and "then") of the rapture. Neat, huh?
There is no rapture. The word doesn't even exist in the Bible. It is nothing more than a manmade doctrine with a dangerous deception attached to it. Those who believe this will be at peace to live in a life of sin thinking that a 7 year period of forgiveness will be granted them. But there will be no such thing! We need to be ready at all times and not wait for something that doesn't exist.

Now, if there is no rapture, why are there dead and alive christians? If the anti-christ kills all the christians, how can some be alive to be caught up to meet the lord in the air? The bible talks about a first resurrection in Revalation. So, obviously Christ comes back to earth more than once.
Whether or not some of us escape being martyred is not the most important point.
The most importand is to get right and stay right with GOD.
When Jesus comes, He raises up the dead, and they along with the alive saints are caught up to Him. Then the wicked are left for the birds, and the earth will be desolate for 1000 years. No man will be alive during this time. The saints are in heaven, doing judgment on the wicked. They learn why certain people never made it. After the 1000 years, Jesus and all saints are brought back down to earth with the new Jerusalem. The wicked are raised up, Satan will make a claim that he raised them from
the dead and to follow him. So once again they are deceived. Satan convinces them to march upon the city. Once they do, they see the saints and Jesus and realize that all is hopeless. God brings fire down on them(truth). All is revealed to the wicked. They see what they have missed out on. They see all truth. They bow down and realize that God is just. Then they are full of anger and turn on Satan and kill him, then wipe each other out.
Sin will have destroyed itself. They reap what they sow.
If the earth is desolate, who are the millions of people that march up against the saints with satan, the resurrected dead? Hardly. Rev. 20:13 says the sea and death and hades gave up their dead and they were thrown into the lake of fire. Tell me this, why are these dead people not resurrected with the other dead people that surround the saints of God and HIS city one last time? It's because the people marching on the city are not ex-dead people. It is appointed unto man once to die.
Think about it. At the beginning of the 1000 years, the wicked are what? They are "Destroyed by the brightness of his coming" (2 Thess 2:8). That's their "first death". Then Rev 20:5 says "the rest of the dead lived not again until the 1000 years are finished". That means they are resurrected in the 2nd Resurrection at the end of the 1000 yrs. Then fire rains down from heaven, and they are thrown into the Lake of Fire. That's the "Second Death" for the wicked. Very simple.
Rev 20:13 is just repeating verse 5, that's all. When the sea gives up the dead is just going back a bit and repeating...saying that the rest of the dead that lived till the 1000 years. Same resurrection. 1. Earth is desolate. 2. City descends out of heaven. 3. All the wicked (nations) are resurrected. 4. Then they all surround the city...the nations Satan goes out to decieved the same as the "rest of the dead". Get it? Very simple math.
Also, one more thing. The proof that Rev 20:13 is referring to the same dead in verse 5 is evident in the fact that John repeats a number of scenes. For example Rev 20:9 and 10 mention the Lake of Fire and the wicked being destroyed. Then Rev 20:15 repeats and says "whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire". If you base it on your chronology, you'd be forced to conclude 2 LAKES OF FIRES! But it's just going forward, back, repeating a little, and so on.
That is not scriptural. The earth will not be desolate for a 1000yrs. Revelation 20:7-10 says "that satan will be release from the pit and will go out and deceive the nations from the 4 corners of the earth once more". The bible says, "They (satan and the rest of humanity) went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down and destroyed them.
Jer4:23 "I beheld the EARTH, & lo, it was WITHOUT FORM, and VOID; & the heavens, & they had NO LIGHT. I beheld the mountains, &, lo, they trembled, & all the hills moved lightly. I beheld, &, lo, there was NO MAN, & all the birds of the heavens were fled. I beheld, &, lo, the fruitful place was a WILDERNESS, & all the cities thereof were broken down AT THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD, & by his fierce anger. For thus hath the LORD said, The whole land shall be DESOLATE; yet will I not make a full end."
When it speaks about being caught up this is after the Lord has raised them from the dead. And remember, there will be 144,000 who will live at the end and not see death these will also be caught up. See 1 C

There is no rapture written in the word of our Father, its an idea conjured up by a young lass in port Glasgow Scotland in the 1800s. Its well documented in historical church documents, that two preachers while visiting this young lass obtained the idea of any moment rapture from her interpretation of text. Its well documented, with references in a book called "the rapture plot" by Dave MacPherson. Its good reading for those who have been deceived by church systems concerning the rapture.

Put quite simply, there is no rapture! It is not scriptural. The saved will be taken up at the second coming of Jesus. Those who aren't saved will be awakened after a thousand years. You can believe the Bible or your Matthew 24 preacher. The difference is Salvation or the Lake of Fire... your choice. Keep the Sabbath if you want God to know you. The Sabbath is Friday at sundown til Saturday at sundown, not Sunday.

its is better to be prepared to go through the trib even if you do believe in the rapture, the rapture would be great, but dont put all your eggs in that basket (figure of speech) it is more wise to be prepared to sacrifice comfort and the easy way out, even if a person does not completely believe in a pre-trib rapture they will still be taken if it is a correct end time fact, but it is still better to be prepared to stand firm in severe adverse conditions. i would sacrifice my flesh if i had to

The 144,000 do not go through tribulation.
First, in Revelation 18-4, God's Elect are told: Come out of her (Babylon), my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues (Tribulation).
Second, in Revelation 7:14,
God's Elect are gathered at Mt. Zion. BEFORE ("came out of"; compare to "come out of" above.)

In order to understand the Rapture completely, you have to be familiar with Daniel 70th week and God's chosen people (Israel). They're the reason for the rapture and key to the Tribulation Period. The N.T. was not made and ratified by the blood of Jesus Christ (Matt 26:28) until the end of the 69th week when the Messiah was cut off and crucified (Dan 9:26). The future 70th week can't begin until the N.T. church is raptured and God AGAIN begins to deal with Israel.

If my heart and life are according to God's will, the rapture will take me even if I don't believe in it.
The problem lies with people who are waiting for the rapture to tell them when to get right with God. They need to get right NOW because no one knows how much time they have left on this earth.
When I started typing this I didn't know if I would live long enough to finish typing so people beware. The rapture could encourage carelessness in the relationship with God. That is not good.

I don't see the rapture as a salvation issue.
The problem I foresee is those who believe the rapture will prevent them from tribulation could be very depressed if it doesn't happen and they are faced with very difficult time on this earth. They will be emotionally crushed to think they were wrong and have to face tribulation after thinking they would escape it. THAT is when satan will press hard upon them and lead them away from God.

So in the next verse the person who shall confirm the covenant would be the Messiah or that prince. You are just not in a country where this occurs. Every one of the disciples was murdered except John who was tortured. We are called to suffer for him. sandroeleven, Paul writes about two separate events: 1 Thess 4:16-18 is the same event in Rev 4:1-4, as 1 Cor 15:52 is to Rev 11:18-19. The 1st event is about being caught up, which we call rapture; the last is about the 7th (last) trumpet when all eyes will see Jesus, even the man who pierced Him on the cross and was blinded. The 1st trumpet feast called Pentecost is a joyous event signalling the end of barley harvest. It typifies the rapture of Gentile Bride of Christ which will be in the air.

Come on. If it says the Bride of Christ is the cream of the crop, it doesn't conclude that the 144,000 Jews and the end-time-tribulation saints are not the elects too. All that acknowledge their King of kings are the King's saints, the elects that are purchased by the precious Blood of Christ as the ultimate sacrifice. Anyone who doesn't search the Bible diligently to know the rapture that would come as a thief would find themselves forsaken by their own folly. Still, please keep the faith!

Romans 5: 9- God distinguished the Israelite from Egypt during the plagues. 7 out of 10 plagues. Check it out. Same will happen with spiritual Israel, 7 last plagues will not effect us. God sent the plague to deliver Israel. He will do the same for us. It is only consistent.

The dead in Christ shall rise first and then those that are alive and saved will then be taken up to meet him.Those that are unsaved will be destroyed by his brightness and will be resurrected and deceived by Satan to march against the New Jerusalem, but will be destroyed. We do believe there is a rapture, but it will not be secret nor will it occur before the tribulation. 1. Reformers in the past believed Church of rome as antiChrist.

Honestly no one know for sure what will happen during the end times. How about we all just focus on getting our hearts right with God now and then it won't matter what happens because we will be saved regardless. Left behind is a fictional story based on the interpretation of revelations by the authors. Either way right or wrong it is still fiction.

Paul himself quashes this argument in I Corinthians 15:50-52:
Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed—in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
So the transformation of living saints and the resurrection and the last trumpet(Second Coming) are at the same time- a singular event.

First off the word "Rapture" does not exist in the entire Bible. Secondly, the 7 year second chance so popularly believed to be awaiting all those who did not make it in the rapture is a huge deception! And yes, the church will pass through the great tribulation in that they will have to come face to face with Satan and remain righteous without a Mediator in Heaven.They will need to pass a great test and to do so they will have to start working on their faith from now!

Jesus himself spoke of the tribulation as something we would pass through. The rapture is actually the moment when He comes (with everyone seeing Him) and how we will be transformed to meet Him. In the blink of an eye we will meet Him with in the sky with those who died in Christ.

@playersbnt The rapture will occur at the 2nd coming the word parousia is found in v. 15, 1 Thess chapter 4:16-18 a pre tribers favorite verse to quote a pre trib rapture, there is only one 2nd coming Jesus Christ never spoke of coming before the tribulation but after Matthew 24:29-31. the word coming always found in the bible refers to the 2nd coming not a rapture....................

Slavery, wandering through the desert for forty years. And they were God's chosen so why should Christians expect to be spared?
I don't put much emphasis on this anyway because I don't believe it will matter to me. I live according to Gods will so if there is going to be a rapture it will take me. If not, then I need to be mentally prepared for the tribulation.

What do you think it means when we read about the righteous who will experience "Jacob's trouble" in Revelation? Jesus warns that we should not be surprised when such things happen. These people will have built enough strength to endure this time of tribulation. But the belief that God's people will not pass through a difficult period is very deceitful!

My friend, you are confusing the rapture with the second coming of Christ, like so many other people do. The Bible warns us of things to come like famine, pestilance, war, etc. and that when these things come to pass, that is a warning of Gods coming (rapture). Now, after the 7 year tribulation, God will come again (second coming) to fight against Antichrist (Armageddon).

Guess what. If you can figure out when the "sudden destruction" of the wicked takes place in I Thess. 5:3, and when "death" is ended in I Cor. 15:54, you will know where to place the rapture on your prophecy chart because both passages talk about the "times and seasons" (and the "when" and "then") of the rapture. Neat, huh?

There is no rapture. The word doesn't even exist in the Bible. It is nothing more than a manmade doctrine with a dangerous deception attached to it. Those who believe this will be at peace to live in a life of sin thinking that a 7 year period of forgiveness will be granted them. But there will be no such thing! We need to be ready at all times and not wait for something that doesn't exist.
When it states that Christ will come as a thief in the night that because no one will be expecting it!

By the way, the Left Behind series is fiction. Anyone who thinks that it's a factual account of what will happen with the end of days must have missed that concept. I hope they don't get a hold of books like Twilight and begin to believe that vampires and werewolves are real.

Now, if there is no rapture, why are there dead and alive christians? If the anti-christ kills all the christians, how can some be alive to be caught up to meet the lord in the air? The bible talks about a first resurrection in Revalation. So, obviously Christ comes back to earth more than once.
Whether or not some of us escape being martyred is not the most important point.
The most importand is to get right and stay right with GOD.

Sin will have destroyed itself. They reap what they sow.

If the earth is desolate, who are the millions of people that march up against the saints with satan, the resurrected dead? Hardly. Rev. 20:13 says the sea and death and hades gave up their dead and they were thrown into the lake of fire. Tell me this, why are these dead people not resurrected with the other dead people that surround the saints of God and HIS city one last time? It's because the people marching on the city are not ex-dead people. It is appointed unto man once to die.

Think about it. At the beginning of the 1000 years, the wicked are what? They are "Destroyed by the brightness of his coming" (2 Thess 2:8). That's their "first death". Then Rev 20:5 says "the rest of the dead lived not again until the 1000 years are finished". That means they are resurrected in the 2nd Resurrection at the end of the 1000 yrs. Then fire rains down from heaven, and they are thrown into the Lake of Fire. That's the "Second Death" for the wicked. Very simple.

Rev 20:13 is just repeating verse 5, that's all. When the sea gives up the dead is just going back a bit and repeating...saying that the rest of the dead that lived till the 1000 years. Same resurrection. 1. Earth is desolate. 2. City descends out of heaven. 3. All the wicked (nations) are resurrected. 4. Then they all surround the city...the nations Satan goes out to decieved the same as the "rest of the dead". Get it? Very simple math.

When Jesus comes, there will be 2 groups of people broken down in 4 categories:
1. The Righteous Living (caught up)
2. The Righteous Dead (resurrected, caught up)
3. The Wicked Living (destroyed by brightness of his coming)
4. The Wicked Dead (They stay dead...including category 3 that are also dead, and do not resurrect until the end of the 1000 years)
Very simple math. The earth will be desolate for 1000 years except Satan and all his demons.

Also, one more thing. The proof that Rev 20:13 is referring to the same dead in verse 5 is evident in the fact that John repeats a number of scenes. For example Rev 20:9 and 10 mention the Lake of Fire and the wicked being destroyed. Then Rev 20:15 repeats and says "whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire". If you base it on your chronology, you'd be forced to conclude 2 LAKES OF FIRES! But it's just going forward, back, repeating a little, and so on.

That is not scriptural. The earth will not be desolate for a 1000yrs. Revelation 20:7-10 says "that satan will be release from the pit and will go out and deceive the nations from the 4 corners of the earth once more". The bible says, "They (satan and the rest of humanity) went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down and destroyed them.
