  • Of all the Broadway Musical Plays ever done, 42nd Street will always be #1 with me. I loved this production so much that when the actress playing "Peggy Sawyer" the lead role, put a pair of her tap shoes on Ebay to raise money for charity, I had to have them. After staying up and going on a bidding war with someone else, I GOT THEM!! It is great to have a part of this great show

  • This is phenomenal! Though the woman doing the dance with them kinda' freaks me out. The faces she makes at moments look psycho to me.

  • OH. MY. GAWSH! AAAAA THIS IS AMAZING

  • I saw 42nd Street in the early 1980's. Jerry Orbach was the lead. To this day, my favorite Broadway show and I have seen many.

  • Now that's a proper flasg mob right there and lol I love the lady in the subway she's like yeahhh I can do it with u guys(:

  • I LOVE the lady at 1:53 who then starts dancing with them on the subway :p

  • Only in New York do people in the subway corridors see a herd of sparkly tap dancers coming toward them in full synchronized step and barely look up or stop their conversations. God, I love New York!

  • @garylibra ...i think they were part of the act...the subway would have been closed to the public and they would have hired extras to act as "normal ppl"

  • Now that's a flash mob!

  • Must be the best number ever preformed on the Tonys.

  • Holy cow.

  • Odd edit of the cast running down the aisles of the theater to the stage. What happened?

  • THAT'S how to open a show!!!

  • woooow wooow wooooow!!!

  • Fantastic!!!!!! I see hapiness at all their faces. Nice moments. Thank you, very much.

  • I LOVE Kate Levering!

  • wow that was amazing! thanks for posting!

  • shivers down my spine...

  • What happened to the much longer version of this? Missing is the return of the dancers as they enter the lobby of the theater...and tape and dance their way through the lobby....down the aisles and pick up the "Girl In the Blue Dress" stage right (this is audience left)...she taps up the stairs and enters stage left earlier than we see in the shorter version.

Truly one of the greatest routines...e-v-e-r !!!

  • YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • my teacher is in this!

i'm pretty sure he's the one at 2:48 in the front on the right side (our right) of the girl in blue.

  • @singinggrl870 my teacher is in this too! she's the one in the subway, second in on the left, the one in costume!
