there alright for enduro raceing but you can't race them in motocross.

for that i would use ttr's becouse they are easy to take care of. but if you jump some the wr can take it but, they are wood racers. so there easier to take care of than a motocross bike but harder than a non race bike.

yeah like my cousin just found this place 2 hours from us in Attica, Indiana, and its called "badlands," and were going to do trail riding in woods over there so people say that the 450 is good for trail riding, we will also be taking in on sand, maybe over rocks (not boulders...lol), mud, and in some water. This won't screw the bike up will it?

It shouldn't screw up your bike but if you're gonna be doing alot of trail ridin I would recommend a Crf230f or TTR230. I own a Crf230f and a Cr250r and the 230 is great for trail ridin but not so great on the MX track. I would say that the Wr450 would be fine for some basic trail ridin but if you're using it for Street too than I would recommend gettin a seperate bike for offroad and use that one on road. BTW- I got my 05 Crf230f for $2,000 at my local Honda dealer. I highly recommend that bike

Yes, but we are also 6'5'' and were not getting them still the end of may/june area so we will probably grow and the ttr230's do not fit us. thats why we would go with the 450's.

That's a good point but I got to tell you that if you're that big, riding a bike too small for you will be a lot easier to control. If you're a first time rider than I would not recommend a 450. Plus even if you outgrow the 230, it's easy to sell because it's a trail bike. It's not my decision but I'm just trying to help.

But idk the guy at the store said that the 450's would be good for us, i have a wetland in my backyard and there are trails by my house and we live 2 hours from this place called "Badlands" in Indiana and were gunna go there to ride, plus were gunna go on roads and stuff and just ride for hours and hours. when you responde to this i have to ask you another question also.

Ask him how many hours of riding he has on it and what kind of riding. Ask what repairs he has done to the bike if any and how long he has owned it. It might be a good idea to ask how much tread are on the tires and if he has replaced any valves or had the engine seize up on him before. The main thing you want to worry about is oil leaking, because I had an oil leak and didn't take care of my first bike. Therefore my engine seized up on top of a table top and had to pay $700 to get it replaced.
