@SatanistTV Well during the Golden Age the Joe Simon & Jack Kirby Cap was a nazi machine gunning Adolf Hitler slugging one man fighting machine that made other superhero comics of the same era lifeless, The Ultimate Cap is interesting but has too much leather & cynicism for my taste. I loved the 2011 Cap movie though. There's no question this 1970s Cap film is godawful enough to make Jack Kirby do a coffin flip.

@cha5 Yes I know Jack lived until 1994, I just meant this film is really in a class of it's own as far as crappy comicbook films go, Kirby actually lived long enough to see the godawful 1990 straight to video Captain America film with an Italian Red Skull in it. He gave that film a "royal two thumbs down".

@capimarvel Well... that's low-budget network TV for 'ya, compared to big-budget blockbuster film. Actually, if not for the Superman movie, this Cap might never have happened. (Didn't become a series, but 2 flashy pilots at least.) Cap's march may not beat Superman's, but it sure beats that schmaltzy 60's theme: "When Captain America throws his mighty shield..." Meh. But this one... WOW! I salute you, Cap!

I still think the costume is rather cool. He rode a bike, he wore a helmet, big deal. I love the sort of action of it and he had a blue tint on the helmet shield AND that his shield was like glas or bullet proof plastic which was part of the bike! Too cool.
