It's really irritating when people who obviously don't know the difference between Parkour, Free Running, Gymnastics and Dare Deviling post videos and comments about Parkour. Parkour IS NOT a sport nor is it for entertainment! Parkour is about DISASTER AND EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS as well as overcoming obstacles. It's a philosophy and a science that helps human beings get from one point to another in the safest, quickest and most efficient manner possible; regardless of obstacles.

It's obvious that most people are getting all of their knowledge on the subject from word of mouth and videos. I think it's essential to study the words and works of Georges Herbert, David Belle and Sébastien Foucan in order to truly understand Parkour. Damien Walters and others like him are awesome to watch but they are performers. I hope that David Belle will become more vocal on this, soon.
