The Dog in this ad was called "Hercules", he was also featured in the Lord Of The Rings, Fellowship of the Ring, when the black riders descended on one of the Hobbit towns. also the fella in the ad is an Aussie! But the licence plate on the Hilux was definately a NZ one!

in nz a while back when these kind of ads were around, people took offence to the word bugger, so they replaced it with instead of saying 'bugger' with 'darn it' and fiddlesticks. it was never the same :(

And don't get it twisted, I like OZ and quite a few Aussies,but NZ has superior scenery and the locals tend to be more civilized and friendly. OZ probably has nicer beaches and maybe weather in a handful of places, but I still think NZ wins on weather too mostly. Aussies are a different kettle of fish... Melbourne, Victoria probably has the most civilized people in OZ ,and probaly because alot of kiwis and others moved there :P I am just telling it how it is, what i see and hear, and experience

That scenery is too lush and beautiful to be OZ! OZ is manily flat and arid/desert! i said mainly, not ALL before you aussies start getting mad at me and giving me small little BS exceptions to the rule. OZ is too flat and HOT! top of the south island of NZ has some of the best climate in the world in my opinion. OZ just has too much heat and humidity. I also and I know generalizations, but as a whole I find Kiwis much more civilized than aussies! many aussies seem antagonistic and for no reason

Im currently in Eastern Europe, how come im driving a 4WD exactly the same, right down to the brand of tyres as seen in the Ad RHD? Australia builds 3 cars on their own, The Ford Falcon, the VE Commodore (All the other Holdens have been adaptations of something else) and the Ford Teritory, which isnt really a fresh design its been adapted off the Falcon platform. Camrys are made in Australia, but designed in Japan, with a bit of local input. Wait there goes another 4wd this one has NATO on it.

If People started buying cars with their heads, rather than their hearts or Patrionism, then car companies like GM and Ford would be out of buisness within a Year, The Americans cant build good cars, I drive a Mustang and i have a Hilux for the airport.
