  • Good post!

  • I love his solo shows. I wish he'd do more! It's been a while!

  • Classic *****

  • The Aleecat with his Taylor 12 string.

  • He's done two very different versions of this song. One on the CD "Aleecat" and one on "Cupid Deranged." This Merrill composition was covered by Lou Rawls (Epic) and Catherine Howe (Arista).

  • The Arrows lead singer still looks great! Lovely romantic tune too! Thanks for posting.

  • Lou Rawls recorded this Alan Merrill composition in a much lower key.

  • I have never heard the Lou Rawls version. I couldn't even find a stream to it on the internet.

  • The 1983 LP this was on has not yet been reissued by Epic. But it's on his Lou Rawls "Love Songs" compilation album.

  • Lou Rawls version is on ebay in vinyl LP format, and on one of his compilation CDs titled Love Songs (he has about three compilations CDs with that title on different labels) which I've seen (it's very expensive) on amazon uk.

  • He did this last night at the Mean Fiddler in New York City.

  • That's a vidcam with a big loud output! What camera did you use? Nice clip! I love the song.

  • I hear that! The camera mic has lots of treble top end on the sound and mega output from the built in compressor limiter! Wow, it's loud!

  • Thats a sweet Taylor 12 string

  • Alan is timeless. He will perform until he drops, with a smile on his face

  • Damn, he looks and sounds fine for a guy who's been in the music game forever! I know he started out in 1968, so he sure ain't no spring chicken. lol!

  • I was hoping this would show up on youtube in some form or other. Great song. Thanks!

  • Alan released this on two albums, different versions. They're on his CDs Aleecat and Cupid Deranged.

  • This song was also recorded by the great Catherine Howe in 1980, she's a fantastic folk rock singer out of the UK on Arista records.

  • I have the Lou Rawls version on CD, on a compilation called Lou Rawls - "Love Songs"

  • Lou Rawls recorded this song, and I have the album.
