he was featured in April's edition of DIme Mag, he does have the determination to be the best frm what I hear and is considered the best out of TN in a long while, congrats to him. actually 14th guard in the nation. && did good at the Jordan Invitational with John Wall but still sits the back burner in some cases. ONLY because the conf. he is in is considered 1 of the weakest. but 40ppg with 3 player defendin u is all the same.

Not at all. I'm from Hendersonville, and luckily will just have missed having to play this kid. He's much faster, and has a little better handles. Bird was slower, with less handles, but he could out smart Jenkins any day. Bird passed tons more than Jenkins, also.

To counter those who doubt Jenkins' talent:

He leads the NATION in scoring this year at 42.8 ppg, has not shot below 50% in any of his games, is averaging around 65% from the field and a little over 48% from 3 point range.

He was recruited by most premier SEC programs, as well as Valparaiso, as one poster mentioned. However, USC, Clemson, and Xavier were also interested. Vanderbilt simply recruited him very early and got the commitment.

He has had no problem against AAU competitors. He's legit.
