this is awesome. 10 minutes from my house. too bad i wasnt born earlier. lol. glad you put almost the whole video up. i know there's like 6 more songs to the set-list. but this is still awesome.
Why cant music and concerts be like this anymore? Being 20 years old in todays music scene sucks. Dubstep and electro concerts are so lame compared to this!
And, yes he does throw out a deli tray at the end. On me. The girl next to me in front grabbed half a cantaloupe and clutched it to her chest for the rest of the end of the show. The whole experience was surreal.
I love you fine lads. I'm sapppy cage the elephant is going to be touring with the foo fighters. this is my dads bday And mine was 8/13/91 i live like 15 minutes and 30 seconds away from this place.
I got this rock song called I Salute You. Its about some of the musicians who have influenced me throughout the years growing up. I thought i would use one of my sweet little melodies and pay homage to my favorite lords of sound! Come over to my channel and experience it, its got a cool video where i make famous players look like their playing my song!!

@caitlin12B Dave was there, 1991 buddy boy.... I like Kurt because he would laugh at how stupid your question is and at how dumb you sound hahaha. this is a fucking Nirvana fan interview, enjoy the music.
@caitlin12B Kurt just had a presence most people lack. His lyrics were great, loved his raw vocals/ screams, nice guy, passionate about his music (understatement of the century), catchy songs, ect...ect....ect.....
I would like to know who are the 39 people that did not like this? WOW...tone def retarded tasteless...three words that come to mind when I think of those 39...go back to listening to that commercial shit the radio shoves down your throat daily and stay programmed to not think for yourself....and have a good life
Cool how Dave had the presence of mind to give Kurt a short power roll to introduce him back into the groove when the guitar was fixed. I used to watch this all the time...this is my first time back in a while and it's just as amazing as ever.
WHOA! Thanks for posting! The was filmed at The Moon in New Haven, Connecticut Sept. 26, 1991. I wasn't at this show unforunately because I had just started my first year of college up in Vermont. But my friend was in attendance. He said the show was beyond amazing. The venue had bought Nirvana an assorted deli meat tray for sandwiches which Kurt dumped on the crowd at the end of the show. I would have gladly thrown my entire college education away to be at this one show had I known.
@79qubzs Neither did I......it's kinda sad actually.....I think I might have died in the mosh pit on purpose if Kurt was still around. Just so I could die in pure bliss........
The world of music would be so different if it weren't for Yoko and Courtney. If you could have either back but not both, would you choose Kurt or John? I vote Kurt, only because he's my generation :-)
@raven2783 YES! I have the SubPop single of that song (I have almost every sub Pop release from the earliest stuff) and when I heard that song, I was like, "YES! I LOVE THIS SONG!"
@Leather811 no, the amazing part is that someone had the forethought to bring a camcorder to their concert and preserve it, even when they were nobody! There was always an organic buzz about the band. Even when they had trouble keeping a drummer. (They had 4 different drummers before Grohl.)

This was recorded by LHG/MT in September of 1991 at The Moon in New Haven, CT, a small club down the road from Toad's Place. this is right before they "made it big." My husband's band Hed opened for them, Dave Grohl is using his drums. Pretty effin' COOL!

I never thought anything could be better than "Rotterdam 91", but the set list is so perfect. Kurt's happy! Not like at "The Trees" gig.
Man, he really seams to be enjoying himself for once! Probably preempted his introduction to Courtney and MTV brass.
