I watched season 1 for the characters and to see the answers to the mindfuck.

It takes all of season 1 PLUS half of season 2 to know what's going on. That's just how the story is, and believe me, it works better that way.

This song chilled me to the bone the first time I watched the opening sequence. And I knew I was hooked.

I love Higurashi and how it it ended. It was one of the best endings in anime (in terms of being closed down to the last detail) . Ryukishi07 and 07th Expansion are just too awesome. Everything they touch turns to instant gold. I loved Umineko as much if not more than this too, after all the VNs. But this got me hooked on it all, so I remember my roots.
