  • How many hospitals are in Austin??

  • Easily 8 to 10.

  • Cool Elevator. Thought It Was A Dover.

  • Yes, these elevators are nice, but these are definitely ThyssenKrupp, since Dover was gone for 5-6 years when this place was built.

  • my college has an elevator like that

  • Even for ThyssenKrapp, I like the custom fixtures.

  • Yes, and this is a ThyssenKrupp in good condition, since it's a new elevator, and not a modernization.

  • Again, this is the Straight Panel Impulse car station, and the lanterns are Traditional style with trianglular lenses.

  • No, this is a brand new hospital, and ThyssenKrupp still uses the Dover BUZZ.

  • Yes, I guess so, but it would have been interesting if they went with Aurora fixtures.

  • They wanted Impulse fixtures and got them by special request.

  • It sure does.

  • This place sounds like a great hospital!

  • Why Dell? Why not Apple, HP or Compaq? LOL Sorry I had to say that :)

  • No. These are two different hospitals, and the Strictly Pediatrics Garage can be used for the hospital as well.

  • Is the Seton Medical Parking Garage also for this hospital?

  • Well, they had it open to everyone to look around the new state of the art hospital (which it is), and they had a party there, which was very exciting.

  • ThyssenKrupp buzzes on their early Impulse fixtures are much much worse.

  • What happened there?

  • Thanks. I went to the grand opening 1 year ago.

  • This opened on June 23rd, 2007.

  • No. There is another elevator next to this one, but there are a lot more elevators throughout the hospital, including staff, surgery, freight, service, and more passenger/main elevators.

  • Is there only one elevator?

  • Actually, the building is 3 floors above ground, but it was built on a hill, so there's a basement, 2 above floors, and a floor between the ground and hill.

  • Why Is There Only 1 Floor Above The Ground Floor?

  • Yes, the Dover buzz was passed onto the ThyssenKrupp Elevators.

  • That's correct.

  • What Level Is Ground?

  • Ground=3.

  • Yes it is.

  • elegant?

  • Level 1 (Basement) opens on the rear, while the other floors open on the front.

  • What floors open on the front door and what floors open on the rear door?

  • Yes, maybe even color changing LED striplights to relieve the stress in a medical building.

  • But the lights should stay dim and have mood lighting. I think they should have the downlights that dim but with a light around the perimeter with the same intesity to make it brighter overall without overconcentrating in any 1 spot.

  • I certainly agree.

  • The elevator needs more lighting elements.

  • I know, but I of course can not go onto the emergency elevators, since those are in the staff only area.

  • Actually Impulse and Traditional fixtures, but is a very unique blend. I wonder what a mixture of vandal resistant car stations, traditional floor indicators, Aurora lanterns, and Impulse hall stations would look like. I guess very distinctive.

  • I've got the ultimate idea. Signa4 interior fixtures, Aurora interior lanterns, Otis Luxury Fixture inside indicator, Luxury Fixture exterior lanterns, Schindler 500A outside indicator and Otis Luxury Fixture hall stations.

  • That would sound very nice, but my idea for a ThyssenKrupp elevator would be this:

    Vandal resistant car stations.

    Aurora/Signa4 hall stations.

    Traditional floor indicators.

Impulse lanterns with green up/red down lights.

  • I thought Impulse lanterns were white. And vandal-resistant is a terrible idea because I would give it demerits in the outside look category.

  • Really, but maybe they would be customized Impulse lanterns, and I do think Signa4 car stations are a better choice.

  • With green/red Signa 4 interior dome indicators(the circular like signals[with the signal used on Otis dated back to 2003{they have a somewhat high-pitch, like the Otis' at the Hyatt in Montreal}]).

  • Yes, they use downlight fixtures, and I think the 700 fpm elevators are ideal for emergency use, even if there's 10 floors.

  • its not the emergancy elevator its not even big enough to fit a bed in it and it uses the double doors not rear and it feels like its going back down when it gets to a floor after goling up when it goes down and gets to a floor it feels like its going back up does it go to high/low?

  • thats a dark elevator the elevators at the childrens hospital in oakland pennsyvaia the schindler haughton traction that go up to 10 are the top speed is 700 fpm

  • Yes, they're very beautiful elevators.

  • Nice elevator, like the walls too.

  • i like the walls looks like the ones in my video at Sick kids the glass elevators
