It's amazing how many people insist IF he did this he didn't do it of his own free will. Come on! Setting up more than 20 bank accounts isn't something you do in 5 minutes! That shows a LOT of preplanning.
And yeah, he ditched a wife and 8 kids without a backwards look, so it's not likely he'd give a genuine damn about the people in this town.
I wish all the guys I see posting on the Internet bragging about being so hardcore and a sociopath could watch this episode. No dude, you are merely a jerk. THIS is how a sociopath acts, with the mask of "The nicest person I ever met."
I find it rediculous that when someone that is black/lower class goes missing the family has to fight to get the person even reported as missing but then this white upper class dude goes missing and every police department is shitting themselves trying to find him..and then it turns out he's a criminal anyways SMH
LOL...lady in denial. She was living large with Scoop. Dude is a white collar criminal mastermind apparently. Bet he's down in Brazil with a new law office and is about ready to jet to Europe.
While I certainly understand being endeared to someone, I cannot stand people, like his office manager, who live in denial about everything and pretend like it couldn't be. Accepting what is, makes your life alot easier. You can still like the person, if you wish.
His story is very typically American. Over-spend, overextend, do anything you can just to impress your love interests and your colleagues. Don't pay child support -- blow the money on prostitutes and luxury cars. Real classy. No wonder our society is so screwed up with people like this guy fooling everyone until it's too late.
i think he set it up to look like a abdcustion...not very well, but tried, like the 911 call, having his breakfast there, how did he get out though?? im guessing there was a fire exit, but u would think they would have a camera, if they had one on the front door
Of course he left. He ditched his 8 children, I'm pretty sure you had no problem ditching his friends and leaving his life behind. That 911 call was made to throw the investigators off. Poor excuse for a man.
Royal have always said that a good investment must be done with other people's money. Most certainly he is in Brasil living a secured life. He is very smart and will never be caught!
He may have purchased an old car, had it parked somewhere in the neighborhood.Drove to another town, boarded a flight to another country using a fake ID.He looks so nice, yet seems like a sociopath to do what he's done! I knew someone like this too, and they can be very convincing! The ex and the children should be glad that he's gone! I doubt that they searched the airlines for many days since they believed he'd been abducted.Plenty of time to leave the country!

Definitely thought 'sociopath' as well. These people are often well-liked and if you get screwed by one (like the wife here) people often assume victim is the unreasonable one b/c 'he's such a likable guy'.
he could have jumped out of a back window..he was obviously aware of the cameras..oh but if he left the country surely they'd be a record of it at an airport?
@sweetdreams626 Flying out via the airlines is not the only way to leave this country. He'd be 65 now...wherever he is, I hope he's miserable and lonely. Anyone who'd walk out on a wife and 8 kids to go play Mr. Playboy in the mountains, and then rip-off and deceive his trusting friends is a world-class shmuck. But the money always runs out, and most women aren't attracted to fat old men, so he will be alone in the end.
