bottom line mainstream commercial shampoos/conditioners have sulphates in them thats why your hair didn't like them. I personally use Wen Hair Care products, they are kinda expensive but worth every penny. I don't know if you can get them in the UK.
Secondly, avoid pulling, manipulating and tugging at your hair whilst wet. It will break. Part your hair into large sections (after rinsing) and twist these individual sections. Then leave hair to dry naturally. You might also want to examine the ingredients section on the back of your products. Do they contain any Naturally Active Ingredients and if so how much? Natural based products are always better in the long run for your hair and will always provide more satisfying results. Good luck.
Hi fellow Londoner thanks for the video it’s great to see a guy representing. Re: the products that worked and then seemed to stop working. It is often more about changes in you, rather than the product itself. Your hair health is determined by your general health. Periods of illness, stress, poor eating etc will all have an effect on your hair. Examine your diet and introduce a good conditioner into your wash routine. One that locks in moisture. Leave on for at least 2 hours before rinsing.
@TuscanWonder995 Thank you. Just took a look at your vid. I love the smile! Have u stopped texturising your hair or have u found a conditioner that replaces the lost hydration?
This Is Weird Ok 1st I Don't Know what type of Hair I am...It Looks like a mix between Sometin, It like Coils up in Tight 0's but My hair isn't that long to tell and on the longer strands they make a Longer more like a Slinky when its Pulled out. So What type of Hair. I want to Grow My hair and I have been Searching for Male Afro Vids Can't Find to many. So What do You Recommand as Products and Etc Im going For hair as long as yours in these vids but like a Curly Fro...Help Thank You Anyone
@JaronRiddick I am not going to tell you any products that would be good because I have no Idea. I think we just have to experiment and try different things... when u find something that works for you spread the word cos i need your advice :)
Your hair can grow, but you have to be patient. First thing is you need to wash it with a shampoo that doesn't have sulphates. Then put ypour conditioner in and detangle with the denman brush, then put a plastic cap on it for about 15 to 20 mins. Your hair sounds like mine, very dry. You have to load it up with moistureizer because its thirsty. The first 2 days its going to crave moisture so you'll have to moisturize it several times a day maybe about 3, forthe first 2 days.
You want to find a water based moisturizer with glycerine, it should be the second ingredient after water. trust me, you will love what it does to your hair. The second option is to make your own. Buy some vegitable glycerine and mi it with water and some good oil like olive or jojoba oil. Check out some videos on how to make natural moisturizer. Great thing is its good for your skin too. For styles, you can do 2 strand twists and twist outs. It will give you a nice textured afro.
For how to use the gel, well, it depends on your hair texture. Check out videos on how to define your curls. But the thing is depending on your texture, it will work better the longer the hair is. I think it gives it more weight to stretch it out. Combing, be very gentle. I think by now your hair should be long enough so that you can band it. It stretches out the hair so it doesn't get tangled and you can comb it out easier ion the morning. And always wrap your head at night.
Great vid. I also have been following Cynthiarf. Oyin products are great (don't know if you can get it in UK). Anita Grant is in the UK but a bit pricey. I find that Bentontie Clay clarifies and leaves my hair with "springlets" too. Keep posting vids.

Thank you all so much for your compliments.
I have since cut my hair and am back to the good ol' fade.
I did have videos showing my hair just before and after the cut but the laptop went freaky on me.
I am soooo tempted to grow it back again but am loving the extra 30mins in bed that i gained when I didn't have to tidy my hair before work.
Still loving all your vids.
