My friend got one a 1981 vw rabbit hatch for free and it only has some minor spots. any tips with these old diesels because it sat for 8 years and its got 76,000 miles. we need diesel and a battery and i believe it will run.
well i guess just make shure you have fresh diesel in it and drain the fuel filter and fill it with new stuff. Other than that i guess just try it, i havent worked on diesels too much so i dont know if there is anything else you should do before starting it, other than check all the fluids and such
where's the timing belt cover?
