  • i finally watched "the punk rock movie" from 78! you can watch it on youtube. anyways subway sect is in it! they rock

  • One guy singed bad in a prison :)

  • This takes me back brilliant.!

  • His voice is Amazing

  • I'm a Hip-Hop guy but love music like this also!

  • Simply one of the greatest bands ever to come out of the UK.

  • Have not heard in over 20 years after stupidly selling! Bought this single at the Edinburgh Playhouse after a Buzzcocks gif in 1978. Subway Sect were the support, which makes them the first band i ever saw live.....

  • Jeeez! Long time no hear - I recognise the sleeve because I still have that single stuffed away somewhere along with a whole bunch of other singles - all early Buzzcocks, Banshees, SLF, Ruts, UK Subs, Bauhaus, etc and Gang of Four, Magazine from a bit later on.

  • 60's garage influence.

  • Yessir...badass UK punk

  • fuuuckiingg greattt

  • This is as good as it gets.

  • Brilliant, love the extra guitar break towards the end

  • I really love this band and this tune.

  • Back in '77 I heard about the band, read about them but their vinyls were unavailable here in Antwerp, lack of distribution, which was a bummer because this sounds great.

  • Some of you lot may like Rob Symmons band..The Fallen Leaves,Just got the same catch guitars and very good tunes as well.

    Cheers

  • Myers quit it though :/

  • One of the first singles I ever bought, aged about 8, found it frightening and alluring in the same instant. Bleak power.

  • everyones a p-ros-ti-tute singing a song in prison

  • Yep,nice one

  • For about 3 weeks in 1977, The Subway Sect were the best group in the history of music, then Bernard Rhodes went and fucked everything up.

  • Bernhard Rhodes fucked up everything he got in his damned hands!!

  • this is one of the greatest 45's ever!

  • thank god some non live stuff by this awesome band is up nice one man

  • One of the most overlooked bands in history. They wrote great songs that still hold up in today's world.

I think they were better than the Sex Pistols.

  • Definitely under-rated... "Ambition" is a classic tune too...

  • loved this when it came out...loved the scratchy guitar

awesome....don't split is good as well... still got the single and the cover..

  • I don't split it.

  • fantastic tune.. nice one fella.. sound band!
