  • It will vary depending on the dog but just needs to fit without lots of pressure up against the back legs. The Chest strap adjustment underneath the neoprene sleeve can also help make a more comfortable fit.

  • I'm looking at getting this harness for an upcoming camping/hiking trip. It looks awesome, but I have one question. How hard is it for the dog to back out of this harness? I have huskies and they're like Houdini! They're going to be on tie outs at some point while camping (under supervision of course), but I'm afraid that they'll slip out. Total paranoid dog mom here. Thanks!

Thanks for your message. We will never say never to anything to do with dogs. Have you ever actually seen anything "chew proof?" :)

That said, in over 10 years of this harness being on the market, we have yet to see a dog properly fitted with the Chest Plate harness back out of it. You need to make sure it is snug upon fitting. We also recommend using it for a couple weeks and being comfortable with the fit before putting them on tie outs.

  • Thank you for the vid. My dog was gagging. Being in the vet field I know something was wrong more than an allergy. I was right she had an inflamed throat due to her harness she is a puller and even with a harness the part that went around her neck was pulling. She was getting to a point she did not want to go for walks. I bought this harness what a difference. I advise it to everyone especially your puppies small lap dogs do not need collars. This harness comes in all sizes.

  • Great harness! Found you through Dog Outdoors (just bought their Walkydog leash for my bike). Now I'm harness shopping. BTW, shelter dogs rock and so do responsibly bred dogs by responsible breeders (most responsible breeders also do rescue).

Thanks for the comments! We love all Responsible dog owners!

  • It’s great that you put up videos of you products but can I suggest something?

I have a small JRT that does not like things going over her head. (she pulls a lot a harness is nicer for her neck) it would be nice to have a video of you putting harness on smaller dogs as well as the big ones, so (for me anyway) to get a realistic idea of how big the hole is that the smaller dogs head has to go through. Just a suggestion can ignore if you want :)

  • @Zandolie3

Well noted! we will keep that in mind. FYI...for a dog that pulls a lot the Chest Plate Harness would be a better solution.

  • This is the best harness I have seen in my thirty years of training I cant wait to try on out on my service Dog. it looks like it will fit her medium sized body properly and not sag like the rest good job...
