im not a musician but i appreciate it more than average...enough to where i currently run a decent Focal audio system in my vehicle(w a k2 18' sub and passive radiators.

but i've seen this video many times (sadly never heard on disc), i don't know shit about guitars, i know a martin is great but i dunno why. but to me it sounds right on that "shitty guitar" i'd like to hear it on something w more tone as well but to me this jus looks technically very difficult and he is def into it. impressive

Yeah0 OVATION? Yikes!! That is like having Michelangelo paint with a paint roller...However, it kind of works as a way of getting an odd, non-traditional, non-woody tone. I hate the tone, but the guy is a genius at what he does. I would rather hear it done on something with more TONE, Baby!!

people like ovations because of the shape, the design, and also how it cuts through other instruments

sometimes you see people playing in gigs with acoustics and the sound just blends in and you dont hear it at all over all the other instruments.

ovations are known to cut through that noise and help the acoustic sound stand out more. it all depends on what sound you're going for. hes an artist, let him use his own tools.
