  • Did Joel say your son's name in this video? Around 30 seconds or something... I couldn't tell if he was saying Kacen or Jacelyn or something entirely different haha.

  • Yes he said Kacen, lmao I never realized that, haha It don't matter now though. I just wanted to be able to keep it a surprise till he was born and have that excitement

  • lol it wasn't very noticable and I would have never known that was his name at the time that you posted this video, so I don't think it ruined the surprise for anyone :)

  • eeek She was creepy. lol My obgyn with my daughter was very nice and very caring. But this lady wow..Glad you didn't stick with her. haha

  • She seems like a good Doctor and professional lady. I will not use midwife.

  • okayyyyy?

  • yea boys are boys no matter what and give them a camera and its no joke lol

  • aww cute u go girl my sister is prego to and shes going to her first appointment with a nurse because shes only about 2 and half months so im very excited but keep up with the great videos :] by the way your daughter is very adorable :] <3

  • Where the hell was that. Lol, you can tell by the look of your fave through the entire video, especially the end you were not pleased at all. Neither would I. Love to hear River is doing great in there. How are you feeling? I have to play catch up with all the videos. Ive been so busy.

  • Congrats on your pregnancy!!! The chair is definitely something different! The doctor however is like most...just wanting to get it over with. Stick with your guts if you don't have a good feeling about her. I'm 20 weeks and I really enjoy my doctor...so far =P

  • Oh she's not "our" Dr, she was just a 2nd opinion, one time or deal, THANK GOD! I have a wonderful midwife for prenatal are.

  • THat little pictures of your daughter, you know the one on your right is just adorable.

  • haha your husband made me laugh. He annoys the heck out of you just like mine does to me lol. Ya that dr. was kinda weird. Good thing you will never see her again! Oh & I think you look like Donna from That 70's Show & Julia Stiles mixed.

  • haha your husband made me laugh, kept annoying you. JUST LIKE MINE DOES! Ya that dr was weird. Good thing you will never see her again! Oh & I think u kinda look like Donna from 70's show & Julia Stiles mixed together lol.

  • I agree, the chair was weird and scary, and the Dr was just as weird and and even more scary! She was soooo cold. I was thinking, wow, and you think ur going to deliver my baby??? hahahahaha Ur hand wouldn't touch me if I was dying. How ever I did have an ob/gyn w/ my daughter and she was WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! nothing like this lady, so they aren't all so cold/rude/short, but even so I wouldn't trade my midwife for any Dr in the world.

  • I noticed the bed to. The office looked like a hospital room...very cold and weird. LOL I would have done the same thing Lucy. Sounds like baby is doing wonderful. Cant wait for your update. And can I say, how in the HECK do you stay so skinny durring pregnancy? I get so dang fat. LOL

  • IT IS!!! Very cold, and scary. This was the same room we had our ultrasound done in last week, and even though it was a joyous exp. and the lights were off, it was still cold and scary then. Such a sad thing. We were in and out in less than 4 minutes, and as far as the Dr thought it was a monthly prenatal visit. AND IT TOOK 4 MINUTES OR LESS??? That is sad!!!!!!!! My appts w/ my midwife take on average about 2 hours and this is my 2nd pregnancy, I know alot of stuff already. Pft skinny?

  • Uhhh yes skinny. I weighed 135 when I got prego with my first daughter. I am now pregnant with my sixth and I am NOT going into how much I weigh now. LOL Anyway, OBGYN's are definatly in more of a hurry to get through there appointments then a midwife. Im an epidural girl though, and im not brave enough to do it all natural. (sigh) So midwifes are out for me.

  • Doula's are still an option & Midwives are an option for hospital births as well. CNMs. Congrats on ur 6th! U have ur hands full.

  • haha yes Lucy, you are skinny! so let me just get this straight...you're saying you DON'T care for this ob/gyn? lol I'm just messing with you! God bless :)

  • Hah FUNNY! Nice lady, she's even pretty, but no way in hell would I listen and agree to anything she says medical related. lol

  • lol! She sounded a bit miserable. What were her views on pregnancy?! Just out of interest.

Got my 12 week scan on Friday, can't wait! Really hoping for a patient and understanding sonogropher as think we'll want to ask loads of questions! 1st pregnancy and got so many worries etc! Glad that all is going well with yours, watched the other vids and glad to see that the heart issue seems to have gone away, it was a good idea to have a seperate scan and see if they mentioned anything. x

  • She=Dr? I know she just got out of surgery. She is 'test happy" She refuses to see a patient who won't do all of her test. Pap Smear & Culture Test MUST be done during pregnancy, 2 GBS test, 2 Glucose test, so on. It's her way or NO WAY. I could only imagine how labor would have to be!!! Dare I would ask her thoughts on skin to skin contact following birth, prolonging cutting of the cord, or eye drops, so forth.

  • Ah yeh sorry! I meant the Dr by 'she'. Wow that doesn't sound good, having support during pregnancy and labour seems to be so important to the outcome. Did you have prolonged cutting of cord with your daughter? I'm considering it as it seems to be beneficial in the long run for the child, but worried about being pressured into the conventional ways of birthing when the time comes.

  • No we didn't, we didn't even get to cut the cord w/ our daughter. It was around her neck extremely bad b/c of how fast she descended and came out. The cord was cut b4 she fully delivered. Most of my main reasons behind the prolonging of it and the placenta is to prevent the extra bleeding, which I hemorraged VERY BADLY with my daughter, so it's mostly for my health and safety as well as the benefits to my child. If ur concerned, type up a birth plan, start covering things w/ ur caregiver NOW!

  • And if you have a partner, Mom or who ever will play a huge role during the delivery phase with you, make sure they are FULLY AWARE UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING behind your birth plan b/c when the time comes chances are you won't be able to say No or have the energy to do so, and u will need a VOICE to stand up for you! It's easier if it's wrote or typed up as well so nothing is left out, forgotten, and easier for ur partner to show what u want.

  • Wow that sounds scary, hope your birth goes well this time, must be good 2nd time round once you have a better idea of how you'd like things to be.

My partner & I have discussed birth plan a bit, want to look around a local birthing centre and get a better feel for how everything works so I definitely know what I want, at the moment feel like I want as natural a birth as possible. Just hope that we are listened to! I'll make Dave be assertive for me, lol!

Thanks for all the advice! :)

  • LOL you two causing trouble in there. What kinda of bed was that? Shoot mine never went up like that. Glad the US was good!

  • I don't know but it scared me. lol

  • LOL....too funny!

  • lol made me chuckle! X.

  • thats so funny (silent)"STTTOOOP"
