i tried mixing ferrocerium potassium nitrate sulfur magnesium aluminium and sugar just to see what ahappens and that did work out great, for example a 10g bomb u mix:

3g Pottasium nitrate

1g sulfur

1 g sugar

1,5g ferrocerium

i have kno3 and sulfur and 425 mesh powder when i mix it 7/3 or even 1:1 the mixture doesnt want to light and when it does it " melts " and gets syrupy i got my kno3 from stump remover. does anyone know what the problem is? if you can message me back please

@lModest 7/3 is not meant for Nitrate flash. Use the 5:3:2 KNO3:Al:S. And KNO3 from stump remover is not pure and has other chemicals in it so it will not work correctly. You'll also want your KNO3 and S as fine as possible, and same goes for the Al. Look on Ebay for 1 micron Al or Ekhart German dark Al.

and try not to touch the tip of the gun in the powder (it wont ignite it, but its best to be safe than being sorry...)

there is a product called "magnallium" that can be shipped because it has a mixture of aluminum with it as well, 51%/49% you can get the Mg from it from simply sifting it. MUCH easier,

dont grind the dark metal cuz that fire steel and use a pretty fine metal file or sandpaper only.
