Bertram 33 Cummins Diesel - Last trip of the season '08

I know its 3 years sence this video was made but I have a 33 bert. sport fish with a tower and getting ready to repower with the Cummins 370's and would sure like to pick your brain a bit

What size props & shafts are you running? I'm doing a repower on my 35 Chris with the same engines. Got ZF 220A's with 2,040/1 ratio to go with them. Any tips will help.

@fuhmeregan Thanks, It is an '87. I beg to differ with you about the tabs. Tried it. It will flatten it out a little but the speed stays the same. Over 22 knots or so the tabs are best for leveling it out, not speed, at least on my boat with the Acme props.

According to Cummins they burn about 10-12 GPH each at a cruise of 2400 or 2500 RPM

Are the motors governed at 3000rpm? What speed does it plane out? And do you have boost guages? I'm curious how much load those cummins' see when getting on plane.

the motors are governed at 3200 no load. Cruise at 15 psi. 25 psi wide open. Getting on plane does not exceed 15 psi .

What RPM's are you running at cruise speed? and max speed?

2400 RPM s for a cruise of 24 KTS. Top speed 30- 31 Kts @ 2950 RPM. Boat weighs 22000 lbs.

The top speed is right around 30 knots . The cruise speed is around 24 knots , at that speed she will burn about 20 -24 GPH. These are the 330 HP 5.9's Thanks
